Actually, the cat with the knife type cutting attachment is very very minimal roughness on it, no more then pushing hard ground. Remember that dozens are meant to to push forward so that really only puts the most strain on the track frame. Just as long as the operator doesn't try and turn hard with the final drives, it is good to go, and another big plus instead of a stump splitter is your looking forward during the removal, not straining your neck to line up the splitter, which can be very very hard on the final drives, track slap and undercarrige.

A kg is rough on that left side of undercarrage,, I use a center mount fleco stump block with a splitter attached to it all force is distributed to center of machine

A operator can make or break a rake man with a KG blade. Pushing big holes in a swampy area. Ill never forget the experience I had. Several loads of dirty wood and stumps had to be hauled off. With more time i could have separated dirt out,but we were crunched for time. Take care of your operators, not saying you don't, just saying.

The D 6 is to light , the K G blade is not meant to push an split stumps , but use what u got the ideal stumper is a fleco stump block with a bigger heaver splitter on the side pushed a million stumps with a D 7 with one

lol, after the 2nd attempt on that one stump I wold have put the stinger in play to section it out. Yes I have ran dozers in NC with rakes and KG blades, mostly rakes I'll admit but still, if the first two tries don's take it out you break it into pieces with the stinger.My dad was the clearing forman for a really large farm there in the 6o's and early 70"s btw.

To tell you the truth, I don't believe that blade is a very good investment or viable option for pulling stumps. Especially with the spear mounted on one side of the blade. All the old timers by me use their D8's or D9's with a single shank ripper with the shank mounted backwards, facing rearward. Back up to the stump, drop thank shank underneath it and reverse and raise the ripper and you pop stumps out like pimples. One guy here uses a 983B with a ripper and a rake/grapple bucket and it's a one machine clearing force.

I've cleared alot of land with a d6d an a rome kg blade a d6 will handle a kg with no problem around eastern part of nc 7 0r 8 where way to heavy they stay stuck all day

Is there a way to shake out the soil that gets caught and piled up with debris? So, the minimum amount of top soil is lost when the root/brush pile gets burned or left to rot.

Picking up the blade pushing against the stump is a real no no he will find out soon enough when he breaks the dozer frame into.
