Cat intros Backhoe Smart Attachment on new D3 Skid Steers and CTLs

I've run the other skid steer backhoes and once your in the cab you can't see the bottom of your ditch or pipes, cables,ECT. The style where you sit out allows your to see everthing.

Just like Bobcat, make it so only their attachments can work on their machines, the thing about this Cat platform is if you go that route your committed to Cat, not good if you already own many interchangeable attachments. 🧐 Why does the machine need to know what attachment is on, isn’t that what the operator is for.

Should have both seat outside and option to run from inside. Inside visibility is terrible and sometimes useless for fine detail deep holes

All the built-in electronics will send your maintenance cost through the roof. I was running aways from traditional tractor with a backhoe and simple hydraulic connections. But the amount of electronic in this tractor and implements won’t help keeping maintenance costs down. Neh........

I don’t want to hurt any ones feelings but, every time I see one of these demo vids it looks to me as if the guy in the seat was instructed on its controls two mins before he set down. Not a confidence builder in potential customers. Just Sayin. ChiefD
