Cat Osterman #8 retired in pregame ceremony before Texas softball game

Cat Osterman was one of Texas softball's most dominant players. She pitched for the Lady Longhorns in the mid 2000's, winning all kinds of awards and setting all kinds of records. Cat has her #8, the number she wore at Texas, retired in this special ceremony prior to Texas' game vs. Oklahoma, 4/16/22.

One of my all time favorite pitchers. Sad that Cat never won a National championship with Texas. Would be the icing on the cake for her.

She is absolutely amazing for sure. Her and some other names I know that I think are great ....Amanda Chidester, Bailey Lang, Madison Perigan, Riley Buck. And I know there are so many more I'm not remembering to mention, but these ladies are the reason I enjoy watching softball more than men's baseball because they make the game truly exciting and more upbeat and faster paced and just all-around more fun for sure. *clapping* I'm a loyal and applauding fan for sure, and may the best fortunes come to Osterman and all the rest that are the best after they have decided to retire from softball.
