The older high tracks 4s were machanic friendly and long track and keeping the teeth on the sprocket out of rock and wear then if you change them you dint have to break the track apart move it foward to the bolts and pull the teeth off the sprocket pull foward repeat the process with out track breaking or if by yourself in the feild. Packed with mud and roots the high track allows for it to fall out more than pack and keep the drive up out of 4 foot of mud and the teeth up out of rock getting in the sprocket and chain the smooth idle wheels don't catch or chew rock or roots the bottom idle wheels are a smoother so it don't pull the root in the track like the teeth on the sprocket. If the teeth are chewing rocks means more wear on the sprocket and teeth track slip put it in 1st low but this does is take the operator out and then if you got to use your eye site and brain a bit. The final drive or sprocket drive gets hot and mud acts like a insulation to keep the heat and not allow air flow to cool down all good machines just what you know and dint or if you've worked on them or not. Just tractor talk

seems like the blade would cut better leaned back and be more grading friendly leaned forward.

Trev YES got to play with a JD grader once. I was adjusting the blade back and forth. It seemed to me on grader, the more it was tilted forward the finer the grade I got. Material sayed inside grader blade. That's just my time playing not working, testing different angles. Maybe it's like the old cats only whole blade tilt. The old cats use to have angle for one side. That's my Humble opinion.

My D5K2 is great…..like the remote blade pitch option, but don’t really need it, as I don’t do a lot of finish work… the only complaint is the damn DEF pumps are crap….damn Obama
