100% the judges fault for being so aggressive...newsflash, cats don't like it when you wrap your hands around their neck. It's what caused the cat to initially turn towards her and then she gripped it's legs so hard. That poor cat disqualified because this lady doesn't know how to properly handle a cat. Are they pulling "judges" off the street?

She was not handling the cat the right way the cat seemed scared its eyes told me my cats had naturally big pupils but that cat is scared of the cat doesn’t like how you hold it then try holding it a different way!

I had a devil cat for 14 years, and even I picked up on the cue- as soon as she put her hand under the cat, it tensed up, that was the cue-no touching, disengage.

Maybe stop manhandling the cat when it's clearly agitated. I understand the owner needs their cat to be calm, but she put her hands around it's throat and it felt threatened. There's a similar video from years ago of a guy petting a police dog that bites him for putting his hands around his throat

Yeahhh I dunno what she expected to happen there. If a cat turns around and hisses at you, you stop what you're doing and let them calm down. I wouldn't be suprised if this was a local show who hired someone who knows nothing about cats because she handled this poorly :(

Shes actually a really great cat show judge and has been doing this for decades. Ive seen her judge on several occasions, and this is the only time I've seen a cat react to her this way. The cat was just stressed and had a very natural reaction. Neither her fault nor his, and she did the right thing by having the owner come up. The repeated attempts to grab him after he started to freak out were probably to stop him from running away. It can be pretty scary for the cat and everyone else when they get lose at a show.

shocking because she should read the cues better. once a cat shows you its teeth grabbing a cat by its upper arm is something you don't want to do. cats hate that as they feel confined in their movement.

Well they need to look for better judges because she is terrible with cats as seen here. You don't Minor lock your hands around an animal you don't know. And you don't continue to grab at and try to physically over power them when they are this upset. Her attitude afterwards like she did nothing wrong is also poor. Zero score for this judge all around

That's a torti. A tortoise shell cat and a male at that. They are very loving animals, but unstable at best. Look them up on google. We had one when I was a kid that would get up on the bed and attack your feet. She'd end up biting the big toe. My parents thought it was funny until it happened to them. She went outside after that.
