Here ya go guys and girls, the Cata Destro PvP Guide! Hopefully this helps you destro enthusiasts out there! If you have any questions, feel free to ask away here! Also I forgot to cover why the teleport glyph. The PvP gloves reduce the cooldown of teleport by 5 seconds, so with the glyph, that gives you a 21 second CD on port, which is CRAZY GOOD! Here's the BIS list I mentioned as well: sixtyupgrades.com/cata/set/aGs3tZ7bZgUiadW3S8B8dQ PS: I kept the PvP clips down to mostly 1v1's because I figured it would be easier for people to watch and get a feel/idea of how Destro is played in Cata. There's not way too much happening in those clips and I felt those were the easiest for people to see and understand what's happening

I am super happy you did this because I am 100% wasting some talents now I have seen this and realised where I am going wrong, it was your vid that made me decide to boost a lock and it's great fun. I am a mage main but wanted to have a 2nd option for cata because I have always just played mage

I started to lvl up a mage in Wrath actually because it's been a fun alt for me on retail for years, but I ended up not lvling it because I can't with lvling lol, it's too much 😂 glad you're giving lock a go though!

@@NecrolicVG just be at 4% hit and buy the spell pen conq cloak and you're good to go. Don't need more than that

I'm not particularly a fan of it personally, I think that it's probably good inside PvE but that's probably about it honestly. Felhunter and succubus just have too much utility to pass off in PVP

Very nice man, very nice. I see you dont run burning embers? I like it since we stack haste anyways, so the dot ticks kinda good I feel like, havent done the math tho.

@@thomashammertr9427 I was but I stopped running it in favor of the demo talent that heals your pet with your DMG. The embers didn't feel that impactful for me tbh. Id rather just have the pet heals

just a heads up if you use felhunter silence as you portal they cant use grip or ams giving you a little more time to get a fear off or something btw

Yeah exactly, I love doing that if I have to port before grip. Often times though I'm able to get them to use it so I can port after. Arena is a diff story because you got los and a healer

I can’t find a use for demon soul as a destro in pvp, other than starting with an imp, casting demon soul, then swapping for fel hunter or succ seems like only way to

I typically just keep felhunter out because of that. It just buffs up corruption and agony. So I'll spread those and pop it. It's not a huge damage increase but it's at least useful

@@shawnburns3996 it does but it has no utility in PvP. As a destro lock you need that utility. Whether it be knock/seduce or spell locks. The interrupt would be way more useful against say a mage or an aff lock

The hardest part for me is I am falling behind because I started cata with no professions and no gold, I am finally getting some gold up now and it has helped having two classes to take on more professions but I am still way off my darkmoon card

The Darkmoon card is huge for sure, but that trinket I mentioned isn't a bad option until you get the card. After you hit 85, a nice source of gold income is quests in those 84-85 zones you missed and the tol barad dailies. There's a total of like 18 dailies in tol barad and you make huge bank off doing them every day and they're not even hard to do. I feel you though on being behind. I got an alt on alli I would like to lvl, but it's daunting given that I've no professions and no gold on that toon so I keep on not doing it. Hang in there my guy! You got this!!!

@@pudgemiester I've just always played destro. Adouken is insane lol but I've been strictly destro only for the last 20 years 😂 and Cata was the most fun I'd ever had as Destro despite it's piss poor tuning

You should reforge the mastery on the darkmoon card to haste as mastery is garbage for destro. Also, your burst rotation should always start with popping your sp trinket (as human), either a hard casted soul fire (if possible) or a soul burned soul fire due to the damage buff you get from it in your destruction talents and finally to an immo and conflag for big damage.
