It is very real. I've done it vs a dk and vs a holy paladin. I'm up to around 14k sp with DMC:V, power torrent, engineer glove enchant, and Blood fury(orc racial) popped. Also I used Unleash elements and then elemental mastery. It's all macro'd to activate at once (excluding power torrent and DMC:V, those have a high proc chance). Flame shock, let them heal. Flame shock dot should proc your power torrent and DMC:V intellect buffs, then unleash elements, use the cds listed above, LB, earth shock
