Whoa, I've heard that left-eyed halibut are really rare, like 1 in 20,000. Almost all halibut have their eyes on the right side of their body. Very cool to see one of each side by side like that.

this is the best one yet. i am extremely jealous. ive only ever speared one hali in coming on 30 years. yeah, i've seen them, and I liked you pointing out that their little face sticks out but they bury themselves in the sand... you see 'em, they split that quick. right arm, brother, sesame seeds are a good call too. sea you next time you're in goleta.

Best recipe is lemon, taragon, butter and pepper mixed together.Dry fish off, slather the fish in the butter mixture and add a little more tarragon b4 grilling.....get grill hot, hot hot and barbecue that up. Yum.
