Thanks for the kind words! I pride myself on trying to create videos that I would want to watch. I appreciate that others like to take a "cinematic" and/or "day in the life" type of approach. That just doesn't work for me. I prefer watching videos that give me the info I need so I can move on to other things! :D

The golf cart prices are crazy! 110 for 2 hours! I play golf and get a cart and 18 holes for 4 to 5 hours for 60 bucks 😂 tourists prices smh but I love Catalina. Did you get the buffalo milk!

Agreed. The prices are high, but they know they have you (since there are not many other options). I did not get the buffalo milk, but will try it next time I visit

Oh, I sent you the link in another comment, but looks like you found the video. :) --- Yes, they do have the ferry option from Long Beach (and a few other places on the coast there) to get to Catalina.

After watching your video, it looks like it's time to break down and rent a golf cart. We have been to Catalina several times since we always enjoy the 4-night cruise on Carnival. Thanks for taking the time to do your video.

@Norman Scheck - It is a very enjoyable way to tour the island. There are many people that have been telling me to rent an electric bike next time I go. I may give that a try too, but I do love the golf cart for a group!

I don't remember if they asked us for our driver's license. This would be a good question to ask when/if you make your reservation.

How can we get to Descanso Club Beach without having to rent a golf cart? to spend more time there? we are first time cruisers and we have a 3 year old baby! Thank you so much for all your videos they very good! Good information less stress for first time cruisers 😊

You're very welcome for the videos. I love making them. Regarding Descanso Beach Club, it's a bit of a walk (especially if you have a 3 year old). When we did the Descanso Beach Club in the past, it was through an excursion that included transportation. The island is very limited in regards to transportation, so not sure what the taxi/Uber situation is like. Let me ask in my Facebook group (facebook.com/groups/carnivallongbeachcruisers) and see if I can get some help

There is also the Garibaldi Bus operated by the City of Avalon. The Garibaldi Community fixed route bus serves central Avalon from the ferry landing to Casino Way and up-canyon to the Wrigley Memorial and Botanical Garden. $2 per ride, children under 5 are free. Taxi service is available from the Catalina Island ferry terminal, as well as the taxi stand, located on the corner of Crescent Avenue and Metropole Avenue, to all areas of Avalon"
