Those 1/2 twists moves on the walkovers always amazed me they are so fast you dont even see it until the end where they are in a different position! I could never master that even on the floor. I always looked like I was having a mid air seizure lol

Catalina por la reconocí como mi gimnasta favorita de Rumania desde que la vi en el 2004 en los juegos olímpicos de Atenas. Aunque no disputo el all around en esa ocasión... se que hubiera hecho un excelente papel para el medallero de su país. sin logro tres medallas de oro en esa ocasión: por equipos, final de viga y de piso. Desde entonces la reconozco y la admiró por su elegancia, enorme capacidad y temple al momento de realizar sus rutinas. Lamenté con mucho pesar no haber disfrutado del equipo Rumano en Rio 2016 porque nos han acostumbrado a ser serias rivales en esta disciplina y sinceramente estos juegos no fueron lo mismo sin ellas. Afortunadamente contamos con Catalina Ponor y eso fue un alivio a la melancolía. Por cierto merecía la medalla de oro en la final de piso de Londres 2012 no la plata pues se me hizo fraude la nota de excelente rutina. Te queremos seguir viendo en Tokio 2020 y a tu gran equipo. En hora buena Catalina Ponor. Te admiro desde Morelia Michoacán y no me pierdo ninguna competencia mundial donde estés estés presente.

Catalina Ponor es una de mis gimnastas favoritas... La conocí desde su participación en los juegos Olímpicos de Antenas 2004. Aunque en esa ocasión no disputó el allí around hubiera hecho un excelente papel en su medallero personal, aun así logró tres medallas de oro en esa ocasión en la competencia por equipos, final de viga y de piso. fue un placer observar sus rutinas en esa ocasión su elegancia definida,seguridad, temple y gran capacidad gimnástica hacia estremecer al publico en televisión y al presente. Se extrañó al equipo Rumano en Río 2016 sinceramete estos juegos no fueron lo mismo sin ellas. Aun así Catalina Ponor nos deleito con su presencia única. Por cierto merecía el oro en la final de piso de Londres 2012. Todos los videntes opinamos lo mismo. completamente de acuerdo!! ese oro de suelo de londres era de Rumania su rutina fue la mejor de esa ocasion , para mi ni Raisman logro igualar el carisma y la elegancia de esa rutina , tambien me parecio q la rutina de bronce de BB en londres era la de Ponor , en rio con esta rutina ,sacaba sin ningun esfuerzo a Biles del medallero el resultado de la final BB no me gusto mucho , pero si me gusto Sanne bien merecido su titulo , pero creo q ubiese sido mejor mandar a Iordache sin un equipo clasificado era mejor mandar a su mejor exponente no a la mas veterana pero hizo un buen papel y Amy Tinkler no merecia bronce , era de Ferrari y si Ponor clasificaba esa medalla era de ella Pero me ubiera fasinado verla en el medallero de Rio , asi sea con un solo Bronce merecia medalla

julian elvares A todas luces le robaron la medalla a Catalina. La rutina de Raisman merecía cuanto mucho 8.4 de nota E, y no el 9.1 infladísimo que le dieron. Durante todas las acrobacias dobló las rodillas, iba desviada y cruzaba los pies. Y ni hablar de su coreografía que era horrible. El único error pequeño de Cata en la final de Londres fue que durante la triple pirueta cruzó un poco las piernas ¡Es todo! La nota real de Aly debe estar rozando los 14.900 o 15.000

Romania fell off the radar because the coaches of the time didn’t keep up with the trends, didn’t increase difficulty and diversity in their gymnastics- and it cost them in many places. The coaches today have worked to incorporate the current model of scoring into their gymnastics, and it’s what helped get them back to the Olympics as a team.

Ponor was capable of winning gold in 2012 with her 6.6 difficulty. Her TF e score was around 9. The problem was during the EF. She's been having problems hitting her routines in the finals since 2011. I'm pretty sure she'll win more gold this quad.

Yes they did and people are saying we didn't deserve it because it wasn't earned. Well I saw a video where Two of the Chinese gymnasts said they were told and to tell everyone they were a certain age if they were asked.

Rules are set in place to keep the games as fair as they can be. The judges are under such scrutiny that they didn't think anyone was going to question the AGE of the gymnasts BUT they got caught in a lie. Those two gymnasts shouldn't have been there anyways. I mean yeah they were great but rules are just as important as the performances are as well. No matter how good they are.
