The only thing better than your pedals are the videos that overview them. So insightful. Huge fan of the RAH, DLS and Belle Epoch. The demo vids of those were key to understanding how to use those pedals and they do exactly what is advertised. This looks like a winner too.

Howard, please do a comparison video between the two! I have the original and I really want to hear how it compares to the new one.

I bought the Ge version and really like it. I was wondering how it compared to Si also and since there are no A/B videos I bought the Si used, intending to flip one of them. Here's the summary: Silicon is much louder (I had the Si output knob on 7 o'clock to match 2 o'clock on the Ge!) Silicon is brighter (we already knew that) Silicon has a little more quiescent noise (still a quiet fuzz pedal, but that's what I heard) If you want to use these at their over-the-top setting (maxing out diode, density, input), I could not tell any difference. So if you want them for velcro tones, there's really not much of a difference - definitely not perceptible with a band. My guess is that they are both putting out square waves at that point, so you lose the Si/Ge signal response difference. For use as a clean boost - the Ge is better because it's warmer and can achieve minimal distortion. For use as an overdrive - I prefer the Ge, but both can have useful settings, again Si is brighter and louder. Another note - The first time I used the Ge version was with a band and I loved it. Put it at a reasonable overdrive setting into a Fender amp that was close to breakup. Very warm and gritty. The first time I played it at home at bedroom levels I was underwhelmed. It's staying on my board to play live. The Si version control labels can be read easier too. Orange text on Purple background might look nice and psychedelic but it's totally illegible.

I'm really interested in seeing how a Karma Suture stacks both before and after a Sabbra Cadabra! Even ordered doom for days??

In a stacking video i would like to hear how it performs in conjunction with manx loaghtan, which is my main dirt pedal)

I made a Naga viper, and didn't quite get it. Tonight it all made sense and it's gonna always be on! This pedal has really piqued my interest!

That pink one next to it was just begging to be heard as the only comparison on youtube. Guess his knob was a little bit too far to the left to be reached 😂

Sounds amazing like all CB pedals. But why don't you make a comparison of 9v and 18v to show the difference? That would be very useful, both for distortion and delay pedals...
@eljoel898 жыл бұрын
My old Karma Suture only ran at 9v. I'd be interested to know if that's still the case for the Silicon.
@gfgf93008 жыл бұрын
Look at 9:12 dude, both seem to be labeled "9v-18v DC"

are you pushing the volume or running close to unity? I'm trying out the germanium version however I think I want the bite of the Situation version even though I'm running a clean supro. it's sounds more aggressive
