@@ms.education4365 Oh, for sure! Are you planning to just stay at the resort? Or do you have day trips planned? The area is new so there is mostly new construction resorts that they are still building, or newly built, so there isn't too much else to do in that area, unless 1. You are staying or working on the resorts, or 2. you are driving past the resorts and are going to the virgin beaches, but not many people know about those. Within the resort there are security people around, and every car going in and out gets checked in to verify they are staying there.

You're welcome! I was vegan for many years and eat mostly vegetarian now. Two of my kids are picky vegetarians as well, and they did a great job at accommodating us. Even made the little one food that wasn't on the menu when we went to Bloved. We also really enjoyed their natural juices, the wait staff were surprised that we kept asking for juices instead of alcohol like most other ppl... And the juice bar on the beach was amazing! Then there's always the vegetarian restaurant as well, which we were told we didn't need reservations for. When we were told there was a long wait at Bloved, we just walked over to the the veggie restaurant and ate there. Everyone in the family liked all the food, not one complaint. The only food that wasn't top notch and limited for vegetarians was room service, so we just went with asking for quesadillas, fruit platters, and the chocolate cake was also really good.

Everything was already included. We didn't pay extra. There's only one restaurant where you have to pay to dine in. All the other restaurants and snacks, are included.

Hi! From my understanding, you are able to get top shelf liquor if you get the privilege package. That package also allows you to go to Bloved restaurant, Pure Bar, and a hydrotherapy session at the spa. You also get discounts throughout the resort. I'm not a drinker, so I didn't try out their alcoholic beverages and see what they have exactly.

You cannot drink tap water, but they'll have bottles of water for you in your room and plenty to drink around the resort. To be safe, you can use bottled water to brush your teeth. Showering is safe. The resorts use safe water for everything the guests are consuming. As my general rule when I travel anywhere, is to avoid buffets as much as possible, since so many people put their germy unwashed hands on the utensils and drop the utensils in the food etc. At the buffet there, you can stick to the areas where the chef is cooking and serving your food in front of you, this way you're not eating food that's sitting out. You also have the snacks during the day in which people will cook things fresh for you during the day, and you can make reservations to sit down restaurants for dinner. If you get the privilege package, you always have access bloved, which has great fresh food as well. When we went to this resort, we didn't eat from the buffet at all. Just a note, if you decide to take any day trips to the cenotes, make sure you don't accidentally drink water from there, as that could upset your stomach. Many ppl get upset stomachs because of that and think it's the food or drinks.

How much do you typically tip for drinks and meals

It really depends on the person. If we knew we were going to ask for drinks repeatedly, then we started with a tip of 5 to 10 dollars, other times we tipped one out two dollars per drink, or every other drink. During dinners we tipped at least $100 pesos, and I switched over to saying in pesos because I've just remembered something. We tipped in pesos the whole time because when they go exchange their dollars, there's a fee, so they lose out on some of the money just by exchanging their money into pesos.

What is the quietest place to stay in the resort if you do not like loud music and other entertainments? Thank you !

You can ask for a room that faces the quiet pool. Preferably the building that faces out of the resort on one side and the quiet pool on the other side. There's no music on that side and it's mostly older people that frequent the pool. It was pretty empty every time I walked by.

Yes, there is another bar serving alcohol on the beach. Located on the other side of this one with the juice bar in the middle. The update varies in price and for how long you're staying. Also depends on what time of the year you're going.

If you get the privileged package you have access to the Spas "Wet Areas" which includes a hydrotherapy session. It includes the sauna, followed by a hot and cold shower, then a dip into the cold plunge, and then an aromatherapy session in the steam room. You then end it in the massage pool overlooking the beach (I was told to put my belongings in the locker and couldn't capture it all) As far as pricing for their services, they are very much "American priced" my deep tissue massage was just over $100 for one hour, but got a 10% discount because of the privileged package that we got. We were showed a pamphlet with pricing when we walked up and asked, but I did not see pricing for the spa on their website.

Hi! I'm not quite sure, but we were there in December and everyone was enjoying the pools. It was in the high 80s during the day and breezy and cool at nighttime, so hopefully you'll get to enjoy the pools!

We were mostly gone during the daytime, but I did notice they had some painting activity for the kids when we were heading out one day. We didn't check the schedules for activities and entertainment but there's definitely a daily schedule with different themes, for example, they do the piñata with the kids on Mexican night, and I noticed they were playing games at the entertainment pool with the kids. I also noticed kids and adults playing bingo by the pool.

Is there Arcade for kids , and is there included or I have to pay for it

There is a kid's club for kids 4-10yrs old and a teens club. It's supervised and included, although it's for the late morning and afternoon/evening hours. The two areas are very different from each other. For smaller children it almost has a childcare setting and for teens, it's more like a hang out spot with gaming consoles.

The state actually passed a law not long ago, to prohibit smoking in any public space including beaches. Some areas and resorts are more strict than others. From what I've heard, Catalonia hotels do follow the law pretty closely. I don't know if they've set up designated smoking areas, but I didn't see those when I was there.

They're extra, and the cost is around the same as you would pay in the US. If you get the privilege package it comes with a hydrotherapy session and a discount on massages.

Hello, I touch on it briefly, at 05:50 You will get a link when you check in, and you have to start making reservations right away. Usually the day before. If you try to make them the day of, they will likely be full. The exception to this one is the vegetarian restaurant. We were told reservations weren't required at the vegetarian one. @@sonyasaini6285 You have to check in first from what we were told. So typically you don't get to eat at a themed restaurant the same day you arrive, but you still have the buffet, and if you got the privilege upgrade, you can also eat a Bloved. Also, the vegetarian restaurant typically doesn't need a reservation and most people can just walk in.

It was fairly easy when reserving first thing in the morning the day before, but when we waited until night time the day before, everything was already booked. They do give you a link in which you can check availability for all the restaurants.

How was the seaweed by the beach? Was it cleaned up for the most part?

They did a good job of cleaning it up, although we did go when the seaweed is supposed to be low. One thing about this beach area though, it does have a lot of natural debris (little sticks) so although the sand was "fluffy" we were stepping on a lot little debris.

We didn't do excursions leaving from this resort, as most well worth excursions take all day (the all inclusive food would go to waste for the day pretty much). What we did, was stay at a non all inclusive first, in the hotel zone of Cancun. We explored the area, and took a day trip to Isla Mujeres, one day, we went to Xcaret another day, and visited family. We then went to Catalonia Costa Mujeres, to just relax and enjoy the all inclusive aspect of it. The food was really good in my opinion. My picky hubby also liked the food. There was variety in restaurants and snacks that you don't typically get at other all inclusives in the same price range. Also, they accommodated vegetarian dishes for my child, that weren't even on the menu.

Room service is free and you can order whatever you want. They do have waiters bringing you drinks. Really good service.

Not all, but most. There's one restaurant where you have to pay, and one restaurant where you can only dine in if you get the privilege upgrade. Otherwise, the rest of the restaurants, snack bars, buffet and drinks are included.

How late are the swimming pools open? I saw another video by someone and it looked like the pool was closed pretty early.., or maybe it was just empty

Hi, they are open from 8am to 8pm. The first night we were there we were closer to the "party pool" and I definitely heard the noise, music, or games they were playing until around that time (and on the other side of the building the nightly music started, which goes on until 10pm)
