This is our favourite resort! We’ve been there 12 times now and will be back again 👍there has been a lot of major updates to the rooms and as for the rocky beach it was a major storm that took a lot of the sand away exposing the lava rock and we hope the resort will work on this area! The staff are amazing and we know several as if they are family, it’s nice to be recognized and greeted as such! The food is fantastic also your video was well informative, thanks for bringing back fond memories of the resort 👍🇨🇦

Yes the beach was so beautiful before so fingers crossed also we’ve had many friends come down with us to Catalonia resort and all have enjoyed it so much they’ve gone back several times also. The hamburger restaurant is new which wasn’t there last year and thanks again for showing the shops out side of the resort , one of our favourite bars/restaurant is the Naughty Burro which has fantastic food and live music and open mike if you so wish to play , honestly it’s a win win area and there’s also a small shopping mall across the highway and is about 25 walk from the resort it’s very much like superstore and have everything incase you’ve forgotten to have packed something lol ! Just returned from a 5day vacation to this resort. I definitely recommend upgrading to Privileged also. Ate ate la batista food was good just wish they switched up the food more each day. Highly recommend

I love a virgin Mojito, Pina Colada, Daiquiri, Miami Vice (Pina colada & strawberry daiquiri), Mango Daiquiri, and passionfruit daiquiri, were my go tos. I don't drink alcohol, so I loved all the varieties that were available.

You will like it, and I know there are singles there too! Head out of the resort and walk to the street market near the dolphins. There are some nice places to eat and meet people there too!

Our travel agent was the one who booked our trip. You could reach out to the hotel directly, if you did the booking or contact your travel agent.

Dinner buffet was just a regular sort of buffet, nothing special. We appreciated the privilege status. The private beach was nice, but we didn’t use it that much. Having the option to go to Beloved (restaurant) for all the meals was a huge bonus. Al a carte restaurants were great, you definitely need to be online at 8am to get reservations. Water spa was enjoyable too.

Definitely Drinks at the beach, there’s two food options around the pool on the Yucatan side, polish sausage food truck & sweet and savoury crepes. Yes, there are two entry points into the ocean. (Both were Rocky, at the waters edge) Sandy beaches too

What was the resort app? my boyfriend and I will be flying in around lunchtime and I would love to have dinner planned that first night

You will get the app when you check in to the resort. All dinner reservations must be made at 8am that morning. So you will have the opportunity to eat at the buffet, Bloved resturant or the burger resturant by it.

Yes, there are rocks in the area. My husband liked wearing water shoes as his feet are sensitive. I didn’t mind the rocks, and there are access points that aren’t rocky.

At checkin they give you an envelope with QR code, which takes you to their website, and it’s here that you can book same day dinner reservations at 8am.

I love this resort. The whole community is gated. They have bikes at the resort and you can go worry free through the whole community. Best fishing!

@@foxbodyboys4483 we booked it at the marina. It is a 5 minute walk from the resort. Anyone can give you directions A little restaurant at the marina cooked it up for us along with sides. It was amazing. I think the resturant was called Hoochie Coo or something like that. It burned down but I think they rebuilt it.
