Every moment is an opportunity to practice! Love that! And the tone yes, much slower and easier to understand, although I got used to the pace of the older ones.

Hi Greg, as a newish/intermediate lifter this was one of those things I didn't think about and no one ever told me to do. It has me wondering what other things I'm doing in a sloppy manner. Anyways, thanks! Also, I have a coach but it's the little things like this that I wasn't aware of that help me

"Don't try to bounce every rep off the ceiling like your trying to do 6000 reps for time". Lol. I love that subtle Cross Fit slam

Not so much a CF slam as a slam on lazy athletes.

Hi Greg where do you recommend having your feet to start the jerk? The same width you would use to jump or closer together so the bar starts a little higher (as Klokov teaches)?
@CatalystAthletics3 жыл бұрын
Starting point is heels under hips so legs are vertical and adjust from there as needed (same as pulling stance). See this - www.catalystathletics.com/article/1995/Finding-Your-Jerk-Drive-Stance/

Do you drop and catch when jerk or keep pushing while we dropping down?
@CatalystAthletics2 жыл бұрын
No part of any lift is passive. You never drop in any lift - you either pull or push yourself under. That pull/push also helps keep the bar moving up more than it would otherwise. So think of it as always actively lifting the bar even when your body is moving down.
