Catalysts for Change

The implications for mental health of inequalities and poor life circumstances, and the importance of lived experience leadership were some of the key issues at the inaugural Mental Health Commission of NSW ‘Future Directions’ symposium held on 8th and 9th August 2023.
More than 200 people came together over two days to hear from key leaders and consider priority areas for reform and initiatives to improve mental health in NSW: there were representatives with lived experience of mental health, from across government, academia, advocacy groups, peak bodies, support organisations and the private sector.
