It may seem callous, but I cannot _wait_ for the DLC. Hearing the line "assuming the DLC adds at least one remembrance" made me CACKLE at the implications! Runners will have to play current(ish) patch to have a valid run, and if FromSoft manages to finally squash the huge glitches, there'll be no more pizza time! Imagine, a viable All Remembrances run that _doesn't_ involve staring down a boss while holding a button. Oh, what a day that will be!

This makes so much more sense now as to why incantations were all jacked up in earlier patches. You could cast the rock, then magma breath, and then Black Blade would come out fast, and all fucked up. The top half of your body would just twist around since the last lower body movement was saved

for the backstep method you could use any flail that had the spinning chain ash of war which gives it a different timing though but makes it so you don't have to get ghiza's wheel

That is actually a great idea, I did not realize that flails can also queue up an L2 like this. Have you tested this yourself? It seems to be even more precise than with the Ghiza's Wheel as I either can't swap the weapon (Flail L2 starts), or I swap it too early and no L2 comes out. I have only tried for about 10 minutes though.

The Chainsaw Glitch is pretty amazing and I hope it does stay. Speedruns can create new categories not allowing the glitch for a change of pace. For PvP....I guess it does suck the glitch is so easy to perform.

@@catalystz Well thanks, I often used a crucible knight build and comboed attacks into the aspects of the crucible incants, and i even discovered how to fast cast the charged version of the spells so those also came out instantly, also worked for sorceries, it was pretty cool but took alot of setup with having to waste all your stamina, I'm sure soemthing else will come up like it

While the move swap is still in effect. Which is a minimal 8 input process. but I tested one weapon to a full and had 30 possible outcome. Take that number to every weapon 377x30=11310 now make it maybe 11x and you have your number due to how many ashes per weapon type of variations of ash on it. That's spot of combinations.

I confirm this still works on patch1.09.1, I advise getting confortable with fast swapping. I'll give you my setup : 1> empty your inventory to only have Ghiza's wheel (GW) and Serpent hunter (SH) 2> equip and 2 hand GW and get to FAT ROLL 3> Block using L1 (or LB on xbox) with GW and backstep with circle (or B) IMPORTANT : you have to be blocking DURING the backstep, if you let go of block too early you won't be able to swap. there is a visual cue when blocking the wheel is facing you. if you don't you only see the side of it enven during the backstep animation 4>there is a slight delay before pushing L2 (or LT on Xbox controllers) My visual cue is when your feet are just about to touch the ground at the end of the backstep 5> immediatly fast swap to SH as fast as possible input sequence is Start X X down X Start 6> you should have the SH in hand and performing the weapon art of GW. hold down L2 ( or LT) to maintain the weapon art don't do it immediatly after quitting the menu or the input won't register and the glitch will end after the initial animation of GW weapon art 7> Blast everything in the way TL;DR : Fat ROLL, only GW and SH in inventory PS controller: Hold L1> Circle >>when feet just about to touch ground again > L2> start>X>X>Down>X>Start>wait a tenth of a second> hold down L2 Xbox controller: Hold Lb>B >>when feet just about to touch ground again > LT> start>A>A>Down>A>Start>wait a tenth of a second> hold down LT

Less than two weeks after your last video about Pizza Swap, I encountered someone spamming it on NG+6 against Radagon/Elden Beast on Xbox One. Also, Ronda Rousey in Raid? Wow, I've never been LESS interested in playing it. Not a fan of people who lose because of their arrogance, then have a public meltdown, blame everyone except themselves, and then run away from actual competition. Glad she's rebuilt a career with WWE, sure, but she's a joke of a warrior.

I wasn't watching his setup, as I run a hypertank build for Rada/Elden, but there was a very noticeable delay between the beginning of each phase, and him starting to deal damage. Having to drain his stamina to do so would explain that perfectly. Also, thanks for ignoring my minor rant.

just was trying out the backstep method on 1.08, is there any explanation/timing that would cause you to unequip the weapon in that slot when attempting to perform this glitch? I never once had the problem where queing too early would result in the serpent hunter ash of war coming out, and instead found that it had simply unequipped my weapon in my right hand slot.

That sounds like you were not switching to the Serpent Hunter from the Wheel and instead clicked on the Wheel again? One thing I forgot to mention is that if you are light or fat rolling the window for the swap becomes larger (you still need to confirm frame perfectly but can access the menu for longer). Give it a shot! It's a very difficult trick.

It needs to be a weapon whose L2 attack deals damage on the first tick and it also needs to be a somber weapon. The original Pizza Swap video covers this in great detail.

As a consumer I don't really like glitchless, as the travel time without pegasus is just too much. In a big game like else ring with so "few" necessary things to do, it's important to cut the not too interesting travel time as short as possible. But I also don't like watching pizza swap only fights. So right now it's either a run with ver long not too interesting parts (travel) and a few interesting parts (boss fights) in between or a run with okay travel and okay fights. I wish there was an easy solution, but as of now, I'll stick to ds1/ds3 all bosses or challenge runs. Great video btw. :)

Thank you for the kind feedback! I agree with everything you have said. The pacing of Elden Ring's speedruns and challenge runs is unfortunately very off because of its open-ended nature. One of the biggest issues is how easy it is to bypass Stormveil and get to the Manor.

These videos are great but you should really invest in a better audio setup for your voice. It is watchable by all means but your voice sounds a bit harsh at your loudest points when speaking.

@@catalystz I would recommend turning your Input gain on the mic down by 3-6 dB to eliminate the clipping, and then using a multi band compressor plug in to then bring the audio back up to it's standard volume level. That said, as an audio engineer I have never found your audio bad enough to be distracting, it's not the best ever but passable as is. Sometimes a couple of minor tweaks like I suggested can make a big difference however :)

A lot of the free camera clips are recorded at low anti aliasing because the debug freecam blurs out the edges of characters in motion. However, I found a fix for Elden Ring so the next vids should have it enabled!

A decent knowledge of game creation. Alot of stuff in gaming history like this was found by old devs or people who work on different games but know the engine. Also speedrunners will try shit from other games to see if it could be possible in the new game theres definitely alot of factors in finding stuff like this and somtimes takes a group of people working together which the speedrunning community is well know for. I know you probably weren't looking for a real answer but hope this helps alittle!

People just mess around a lot. Of course, the more people play a game, the more chance for new random discoveries. I would assume that the skip from Zamor Ruins was found by simply identifying that there is a Stake of Marika nearby and that maybe there's a spot where you can jump over deathplanes (far from first time in FromSoft games). But yeah, it's like Just your average Guy said, lots of knowledge from prior games and curiosity.

If you understand how this glitch works you can use a throwing knife to hit anything first and could drain your stamina immediately as long as the knife or throwable lands, as such, kzbin.info/www/bejne/jmfIo6SloN-GjLc so realistically you’re Able to do this a lot easier than you believe and say in this video

@@catalystz yes using a bow or a throwing knife means the target doesn’t have to be close at all but every time I watched you try to work with this gItch it seems You didnt throw one knife to become aggro from any other distance but from close. You even tested this on idle bosses ☠️ You can literally throw a throwing knife or shoot a bow across limgrave if it hits something you’ll be aggro and instantly would be able to perform as such. I do like how you mentioned you can get hit through the swaps or true combo because a lot of people were unaware the animations stay queued regardless if you’re hit you still can combo through or keep the animation stored. Using a throwing knife or bow means HUGE distance and if you spammed the chainsaw at the ground you could kill things from extremely far away too.

Elden ring's code is just a pile of spaghetti. Something like making the menu inaccessible is just such a bandaid fix, it's no surprise stuff is broken, and keeps breaking. Rather than solving these issues at a fundamental level, like by making weapon swaps hardcoded not to apply until a weapon's animation has fully finished, with no lingering effects.

Exactly what Richard commented. In the original video I used a Turbo input to achieve inhuman speed and it actually started being registered as a continued input rather than a sequence of individual ones.

Yeah that does seem like a pretty definitive fix but the problem is that the Pivot Swap method did not need the Ghiza's Wheel and the Serpent Hunter is not necessary either, so there could be another way of abusing this in the future 😅

Heyo! This is because the unequipping of the Chainsaw breaks it. There were other ways of transferring a stance but if you have the original weapon in the right hand and transfer it by unequipping it doesn't generate the hitbox only the animation. As to why exactly, not sure.
