I noticed blue was butthurt as soon as you placed on the 8-10. The mono just caused him to embargo you and throw the game.

13:45 think there was a wheat or brick trade here to yop and road settle 9 12 wood port? Would have cleared the hand avoiding seven out. Even ore wood for 2 sheep would get you there

All I can tell is that, in my home games, I'm criminally undervaluing dev cards. Then again, they aren't competitive.

From my experience most people learning Catan start out over-focused on roads. Then as they get better they prioritise cities, then devs, and then finally back to roads.

why do you call dev card "pop" and what is ows??

OWS stands for ore wheat sheep, these cards buy devs (also need ore and wheat for cities) so this is a pretty classic strategy aiming for combining these 3 cards. Pop a dev is just a phrase meaning buy a device card. For example 'he has great OWS so he can keep popping'. Hope that helps.
