I think it is interesting the way people refer to spots. It seems like the rule is highest production first. So 693 not 369 for example. It’s cool the way those conventions kind of come up without any discussion about it…

It's not always that way though. No idea where they're coming from, but it's not counterclockwise Nor clockwise It's: 6-9-3 10-9-2 8-4-3 5-6-9 8-4-10 9-4-11 5-4-11 6-3-11 5-8-10 9-6-2 9-10-11 8-10 6-11-12 6-5-11 So there is literally no rule, and some of them are also referred differently by different people

Why do you think people overestimate 2:1 ports? They really aren’t that troublesome unless they are able to city or if the entire board lacks a resource.

There is a stigma that 2:1 are overpowered and need to be blocked when in most cases, 2:1 ports the only way to be competitive for a lot of port setups. It’s a common heuristic I’ve seen that some people in ranked auto-block players who have a 2:1.
