if he had lost a brick instead he could have just: - 2 for 1 the wood for a wheat - build settlement on 3 for 1 - 3 for 1 brick twice (once for wood once for wheat) - build other settlement if he lost the sheep it would be the same just with a sheep instead of a wood on the second exchange crazy how many people like this comment without fact checking

Chopping wood or slaughtering sheep is a very effective way to play catan. There is a bit of a power trip that happens when you have a strong 2:1 port that is COOKING!

I haven’t had the time to grind out 100-200 games to immediately run to the top. It takes time and I am trying to show as many games as I can through the levels. A new run needs time to build a bank of games. In the meantime, you can still appreciate the play optimization, commentary, and insights on how to play specific strategies. Eventually, I will have to throw some games away to show the higher level games. Be patient and enjoy the journey.

Capitol city. upgrade a city with 2 of every resource (10 total) gives you 3 of every resource connected to it. can only have one in the game.

@@ordinarilyirresistible6907 how does it sound awful? I think it's decently balanced. It gives massive production so it's really strong but also very expensive to build. You also need to have built a settlement and a city first before being able to build it. So it's a late game option.

I am trying to catch up on gameplays and build a backlog. Most of the people are 150-200 games in on the leaderboard and I have A LOT going on in my life right now. I am going to try my best to get the games in but it’s not an absolute priority for me to dominate the leaderboard season at this point. I want to focus on quality of gameplay, insights, and getting a content schedule that makes sense to make sure I can consistent deliver on this channel. We will also be experimenting as we grow!

4th placements picks a most skill based picks in game...cuz be a 1st and 2nd there is no skill. 3rd is kinda a lil tricky sometimes but not so often but 4th pick...this is shows a REAL skill. most often i saw bad picks from players on 4th spot.

Not only is that false, it is the exact opposite of what is true: 4h is least skill while going first requires the most skill. When you go 4th, you need to see exactly zero moves ahead. You do not need to anticipate where anyone else is going to go. If you go first, you need to be able to predict what will still be available at the end. Figuring out what kinds of picks will still be available for your second choice when you go first is by far the hardest thing you can possibly try to do in picking your settlement spots.

Funny you mentioned the postmodern neo-marxism point, which was a highlight discussion in the Zizek and Peterson debate. Many don’t agree with Peterson from a ideological standpoint but there’s no denying his influence. At the end of the day, you take the good with the bad and build a life philosophy that resonates with your goals and values.
