my teeth are sensitive to cold and sweet and yes i still eat ice cream and sweets. However I do my best to keep it off my teeth while I do. My point here is I like the taste and so do they so we eat it anyway and deal with the moments but if your shoving cold stuff into your cats mouth and ignorant enough to not see that it is painful well your just an asshole and an idiot at the same time. To the people wanting to attempt this.Dont.. Cats can actually develop diabetes and will need insulin injections if they eat too much sweet.Even more dangerous if the animal is older or fatter.One small sweet wont do it harm, but don't give sweets to your cat. Side note, cats actually have the ability 50/50 % working to cure them selves from diabetes.Mine was old and actually was slightly overweight and caught a cold on the window and one thing led to another, and another and it developed diabetes.(he was14 i think).Started with insulin, but in close to 2 weeks(probably less) he defeated that and there was no more need for injections.Vet was very surprised and professional though. Be careful and don't give in to those cute eyes when they want the prohibited food.

Never knew how a cat looks like when they get brain freeze... or for that matter, that they actually can get brain freeze. xD A warning to all cat owners, though. Remember: "CHOCOLATE is poisonous to all cats", so when your cat is pissing you off and tries to swipe and steal your ice cream away from you, don't give in if there is ANY chocolate in the ice cream. I don't care if it's just vanilla MARBLED with narrow streaks of choco fudge. Just don't.

I've never had a brain freeze before. And I eat an ice cream about every second day, sometimes every day. What exactly does a brain freeze feel like, and where exactly in the head is it felt? And how do people manage to get them?

It feels like a very sharp, cold pain in the center of your head- if you're able to focus really well, you can feel it more towards the very back of your throat than the center of your head, but it's hard to focus when it kicks it. And, since the perceived pain is right there in the center... "brain freeze". People only really get it if they eat too much cold stuff too quickly, thus not allowing the back of their throat to warm up.
