Out in the middle of one of the oceans was a tiny blip of "Meadows," with no islands, but the shore is like 2-5 feet below the ocean surface. I just had to mark it on my map for a later stilt house. This game has a lot of character. And $20 full price is insanely low.

yes and no. this is very expensive and requires you to move materials onsite to build the structures. each catapult is 10 flametal. would be hard for a no portal player to make this. no portal players are probably still better off sailing.

@@sittingforgetting9907 Well if you think of it from the perspective that all you really need is the last catapult, technically if you set it up right, you could have one catapult facing the Ashlands and one facing back towards the first one. That way it's only 2 and it makes traveling to Ashlands way faster and less headache

I put a catapault on the tallest mountain on the seed, with feather and fenring.... it sent me 30% across the map! It looks like the flight falls down linearly, so the higher you launch from, the further you go

Its hard to go uphill, well what if you make a skidplate infront of the catapult so your character bangs against it and changes trajectory? Would that work, if not how about a V shaped alleyway so the "ground" doesnt stop the movement of your character (if that would happen with a skidplate/floor)?

i tried that, at least with 45 degree shingles places right in front of a flat release catapult, and it stops you. i am not sure about the "bounce" physics of flight because sometimes you do kind of skip across the ground when you hit certain objects or angles. i hit a small rock once coming down, and it sent me back up. its very rtandom, not sure how to exploit yet.
