Madras is lost forever.. The usage is becoming rarer & rarer year by year..Madras was renamed as chennai without realising that Madras is the actual Tamil name derived from Madarasapattinam, a Tamil fishing village which existed centuries before the entry of British. It is not an English name. Just as British named Wandiwash for vandavasi, Vizag for Vishakapatnam, Madarasapattinam became Madras. While chennai derived from Chennapa nayakudu, the local Telugu Chieftian is actually a Telugu name. The information can be widely seen in the net. Govt can use this time to clean up, do maintenance, clean buses, even clean river, lay out cables. No disturbance for anybody. No out of box thinking. Even use all app based companies to deliver vegetables, essentials. Very poor utilization of our resources. So much crowd during lockdown.

Mumbai port is still operating. According to unconfirmed sources.there r 75,000 containers stuck in chennai port. Why cant about 200 staff be checked and sent for work. Customs officials can check documents through online at home. Physical verification alone needs staffs, movement of containers. Chennai is a very nice city with good infrastructure but lack of cleanliness and public urinating near bus stations has to stop. In south India Chennai comes last in Swach ranking. TN’s neighbouring state Kerala is very clean and green all over the state. Karnataka cities like Mysore and Mangalore. AP Vizag etc. Delhi and Mumbai which has higher population than Chennai got better swatch ranking
