Instead of visiting the lavish cities of Tokyo, we went for an adventure in the mountains of Tokyo catching the Japanese sunrise at the highest point of Tokyo Prefecture, Mount Kumotori.
Mount Kumotori is the tallest peak in Tokyo prefecture standing at 2017 meters. Catching the sunrise at the peak on New Year’s Day is one of the most popular activities to do on this mountain.
How do you catch a sunrise at the highest point of Tokyo? Check it out here.
