For those who are interested in such things, the lure was a prototype of one of Ray Broughton's hand-crafted timber "Bimmeys". You can find out more about them on Ray's Facebook page: facebook.com/profile.php?id=100033777760822

Just wanted to say thanks Starlo, launched at Bumbo and landed a 45cm Bass or ep hybrid near the intersection with the creek. So so stoked. Your video was the inspiration and your private advice very helpful.

Love bream spinning in the grass - it’s skinny water and structure fishing rolled into one.

Steve have been watching you and bushy since the early 90s and still love your presentations have recently retired and trying to spend a lot more time on the water doing my favourite thing back in the early days I bream fished from a canoe called a australis bass and used Dan McGrath lures called a attack to great success do you still use those lures 😀
@StarloGetsReel8 күн бұрын
I'm still a big fan of the old Dan McGrath lures, although I don’t use them much any more, but they still work a treat! 😊 I owned an Australia too! Tight Lines. 👍

That was magic🙂. It looks like a spot where you might very well get an Estuary Perch, Bass or Bream. I don't know what they call those reeds (and it would be rude to say what I call them) leave me cold. Pointy, seeds everywhere and don't like giving your lures back. I itched just watching and figure it was well worth it for that gorgeous Bream.

Nice blue nose Starlo. Had a feed of diamond scaled mullet on Friday. I deep fried it in batter gee lovely. Can you tell me if shovel nose shark as I call them or shovel nose ray are protected in the NT. ?😊🐠
@StarloGetsReel10 күн бұрын
Good stuff! No, shovelnose are fine to take as far as I know. Sawfish are protected. Shovelnose are pretty good tucker, too!
@davidgc439610 күн бұрын
Ok thanks Starlo I didn’t think so. They are magnificent eating shovel nose. I ate some on Friday too. Apparently they pay big money for them in Asia and America so I was reading. Like over $80 a kilo 😊

Ok that’s got me perplexed how the heck you get all those different angles on camera alone? 🤷♂️ One camera fixed to the yak, another on your chest and a drone to get the distance shots looking back at you? 🤷♂️ Does my head in trying to imagine trying to fish as well as run 3 cameras and a drone. Don’t know how you do it but the results are awesome. Keep it up please.

Thanks for noticing! Yes, I do try to go the extra mile… but it does my head in sometimes too! 🤣 And then there’s the editing… 🙄
