CATCH FISH for FREE - URBAN FISHING - Pole fishing with bread - Roach fishing - ROB WOOTTON
Town centres often hold loads of fish in the winter and with simple baits and tactics they are easy to catch. A trip to Stamford town centre gives me the chance for some great bread punch fishing in an urban setting.
If you like these videos please think about subscribing.... I love all aspects of fishing so whether it’s trying to catch more fish on the pole, fishing the feeder or just enjoy carp fishing. Match fishing and primarily uk match fishing is what I love to do. Carp are often the main target but bream, F1s and other silverfish are often the way to win a fishing match. The biggest matches are often won with the simplest approach and Hard pellet fishing is one of the top methods for commercial fisheries, couple
Hard pellet fishing with a margin fishing approach using sweetcorn for big carp or luncheon meat and that’s often a winning tactic for a snake lake when targeting carp. Method feeder fishing or hybrid feeder fishing is a tactic that works especially well and something that will catch more fish on any Uk fishery, method feeders and hybrid feeders are great when used with pellets and wafters or mini boilies as the perfect hookbait for carp, F1s and bream. Fishing videos are a great way of learning and I try to include a Live match where I take the GoPro camera to a match fishing environment and filming a match fishing event a detail the decision making process including watercraft when to feeder fish and when to pole fish and the right time of day to fish in the margins.

Great video rob, i love using bread whenever i go upto the Norfolk broads especially when i have stayed in a boatyard as the fish are used to getting bread from the holiday boats

That's blackspot disease. It's a type of tape worm. The spots are actually the worms between the scales and the layer of skin (which the mucus protects) covering the scales. Roach and Rudd both get this and seem not to be affected by even large scale infections. The life cycle of these worms is that the fish get eaten by birds, the worm then matures in the bird and lays its eggs, which get dropped in the birds faeces, which hatch, burrow their way into snails, mature into a larger larval form, which then finds and burrows into fish ..... and round and round we go. Birds help spread the disease to nearby waters.

I live in Stamford Rob and fishing is not as good as it used to be . Like you say it's full of weed these days and this year not had much rain to put extra water in to give it a good flush out . If that happens the fishing once the water level starts to drop can be brilliant . The meadows up stream about a mile or so are much better but further to walk , great chub fishing . I had a mate who was good friends with Ivan Marks and he used to come down into Stamford and fish with us years ago , great memories 👍

Nice little video Rob. Otters have no problem feeding in town center's. I live in Sudbury suffolk, & someone managed to film an otter take a duck in the town center, surrounded by dog walkers. It's on KZbin somewhere.

The hiviz 3/4 is absolutely spot on for punch fishing, cheap as chips just like the bait. Nice video again Rob. Did you try a grain of hemp on the hook?

Nice video Rob, dipping your pole tip in before every time you ship out, is that to keep the elastic a bit wet in case you you catch a bigger fish? Do you prefer to do that instead of using pole slip? TIA James

I use a bit of silicon lubricant at the start but very now and then I just give it a pull under the water to help it retract

Do you really need to fish that far out--can you not catch closer in ? and do you ever use the whip for punch fishing ?
@RobWootton
@RobWootton 2 жыл бұрын
It was too shallow closer in an dehut you see me catch some fish quite quickly you’d never compete with a whip over a long period of time. You make less mistakes on a long pole and miss less bites. Whip fishing for me is for very short range or if the peg is solid
