In this episode, I head to the iconic Sydney Harbour, Australia to target some end of season pelagic fish landbased from a rocky inshore platform. I was floating out large live baits for some big predators whilst I was shore jigging with my light gear to cover more area. I managed to catch a variety of species on the shore jigging method including - Flounder, Tailor, Frigate Mackerel & Yellowtail Kingfish. It really just goes to show how versatile this untapped secret method of fishing is. Hope you all enjoy the video & tight lines!

Hey mate, looking to get into some shore/shore-slow jigging and tossing between Palms Shoregun Evolv Blue Runner and the Palms Shore Slow rods. Very little information on either online, so hard to make a decision. What are your thoughts on either one?

Hey Pero, really depends on what style of jigging you do and what species you want to target. Blue Runner is more suited for pelagics in mind. The backbone of the rod starts a little earlier to control fast moving predators. I Still find its good for a slow jig, but definitely not as slow taper compared to the dedicated slow rod. I find if you dedicate yourself to slow jigging, the rod has a softer taper to really work those jigs for those more timid/opportunistic fish. I find if you want to use a fast paced or medium-fast paced jig the slow's blank doesn't go back to its starting position to do another jig in time. Yes fishing is allowed. If it wasn’t allowed then I’d be shitting into every hole on as many golf courses I could get to. Because if they can golf during lockdown then we sure as hell can fish. Btw, only meant to travel within 10 kilometer radius of your home though so exceed that distance at your own risk ⚠️

Thanks for the kind words mate! Yes fishing aka sport/outdoor recreation is permitted. Only within 10km radius of your home as jet said and if your one of those LGA's that are in a 5km radius lockdown you can go fishing within 5km. Stay safe mate!

Hey bro, sure are mate check out - www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/rules/greater-sydney#reasonable-excuse-to-leave-home for regular updates. " exercise and take outdoor recreation within your local government area or up to 10km from your home" and if your one of those suburbs within a 5km lockdown you can only go fishing if you have a waterway within 5km radius etc.
