Thomas becomes a bit boastful about winning the race with Bertie, that he tells Gordon he's faster than him. Unfortunately, Gordon prompts Thomas to prove it, only for Thomas to decline. Gordon continues to make fun of Thomas until he agrees at last.

Rev. W Awdry would be proud. Can You do this idea called Percy's temper? Percy's Temper: After a hard long week of work, Percy was angry that he was not getting a break. But when Edward asks for help, he would shake in anger and scare him away. After realizing this would get him out of doing work, he would do this to anyone who would ask until his anger got him in trouble and had to learn a valuable lesson.
