YES THANK YOU 😭💕 He has an attitude BECAUSE of all the shit he's been through, and I imagine finding out the truth about Niwa didn't exactly help with that. He erased himself from Irminsul in the hopes of bringing those that died because of him back but no matter what he did *they could not be saved.* Life handed him the short end of the stick for such a long time and Nahida will finally be the one to catch him and be the long-lasting support that he *needs.* That's what makes his character so good and his story so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. Life was cruel and bitter to him, but maybe now it'll finally start transitioning into something more bittersweet as he slowly begins to heal.

Wanderer is one of the most relatable characters I’ve seen, his journey of finding identity and humanity resonates with me in a way I’ve never experienced before. I’m not 100% sure why his journey speaks to me on an almost personal level. the way the way the balladeer's expression changes at 0:38, the general scene with the lighting and posing at 0:41, the smooth turning on his side at 0:43, the shadow and subtlety of light and expression for Il Dottore at 0:46, the HANDS THE FREAKING HANDS at 0:52 (such a polished and clean movement close to tears crying screaming), and the parallels between Scaramouche and Ei at 0:55, those were my favorite parts of this. Oh and lets not forget the clean movement and transition at 1:08. I swear his naïveness and innocence was the sponge to all the negativity he absorbed in his journey only to be reinforced and brought to life later by the Fatui and named as Scaramouche. (Sorry for messy grammar/spelling). I wouldn’t hold him o human standards since he wasn’t human to begin with, but the story does point out through time he does sorta become human. I do look forward to Scaramouche’s character development since it seems we haven’t seen the last of him- we even gave then man his new name. He sorta feels like a second main character just because of that- so I hope to see him try to connect with his “family” aka Raiden and Ei later but also see Nahida’s effort in trying to enlighten him (I named him Riku just because that name was floating in my mind and something said it stood for rebirth idk 😭) but yeah. THIS, THIS IS WHY I LOVE WANDERER SO MUCH, this is why I'm so deeply in love with his character... I still don't get that people that say he's "a bad character", ha has one of the most deep, sad and heartbreaking stories. If I could catch him... But I can't. He suffered and traveled alone for 500 years, trying to find himself, trying to give life a new chance, a new chance and a new chance. He tried so hard many times, smiling, trying, believing... What he's now, is just the result of all his road, all his bittersweet life, everyone who thinks that he's only "an edgy typical boy" really need to lurn about his lore. Because I ALWAYS knew since that first event that he had to be a character with a big past, a past that could make me cry... And it did. I love he's actual person, and I love when he was betrayed to be a fatui, and I LOVE what he was when he first tried to give life too many opportunities, give people opportunities to trust, to let them catch him. He felt betrayed so many times, it's completely normal that after 500+ years of suffering about what he is a and about what he had, he's someone with such big trust issues... God...... I love this so so so so so much and stuff like this that deeply and fundamentally understands and appreciates Scaramouche as a character. I used to hate him until the Sumeru archon quest, where after seeing his backstory, I truly began to fall in love with him as a character. His journey of trying to find purpose with his life after losing everything, growing betond and separating from his past selves, and trying to make himself better as a person was something that I found so beautiful and resonated with deeply. His story was amazing written, followed through, and concluded. I truly think he is one of the best written characters Genshin has ever produced. this guy truly had one of the most extreme backstories i've ever heard (imo). he's been through so much, and even when he tried to erase it all to save the people from his past, it was in vain and they still suffered, even without him. he tried so many times to try to become human, finding friends but only for them to disappear. even then, he was only counted as a part of dottore's experiment and almost nothing more. the way he thought that you only had worth if you're able to be used for something. the fact that he was lied to about niwa and his death. it's all so heartbreaking to see how someone could suffer so much. on another note i absolutely love the art and animation ❤

I feel really bad for Wanderer, and he is probably the first fictional character I’ve ever felt bad for. When I learned his real story, I felt terribly sad. I still do feel that way whenever I see anything about his backstory. Wanderer has had a long life, and he suffered most of it. I’m glad he finally found who he was really meant to be. I have much to say about Wanderer, but I can’t figure out how to convey it into words. That makes me really love this animation, too. It was really beautifully pieced together and it showed his story. The animation was really well made with lots of talent and skill. I absolutely love it. Though, everything, truly everything about his character, is just amazing and this animatic puts so much into perspective and perfectly captured Scaramouche, the story behind his character, how he's growing and healing, and just his character as a whole. I'm glad he stayed the same after the whole Irminsul thing and losing and regaining his memories. His personality suits him so well and I couldn't imagine him being any other way. It reflects everything he went through, the struggles, the pain, the sorrow, even if he doesn't directly show it, it shines through, very faintly, through his actions. This just..perfectly portrays his character, and I'm glad he's healing. We gotta give kudos to Nahida and Scaramouche alike for this.

I can't stop watching this and each time it brings me close to tears. Thank you. I think Scaramouche/Wanderer is a great example of good character design interlaced beautifully with story and even other character's backstories! I love his struggle to find identity and purpose after being thrown out by his maker & how each loss after that felt like an echo of that same trauma. Because of that and his reaction to that trauma (can we blame him? No. Did he do shitty stuff? Yeah) he might be a puppet but he's one of the most human characters. Your animation shows this exact complexity. Thank you.

I actually cannot do this. The nahida scene is so adorable and it just shows how good of an auntie she is, omfg “would you catch me” and then literally showing her trying to catch him. Nahida is so wholesome I love her so much😭😭 but this animation is like a masterpiece bro it really shows the feelings and it doesn’t just make scara look like a “cute twinky femboy” it really shows the emotions and we DEFINITELY need more animations like this. The nahida part actually physically and mentally struck me omg, I was there replaying it and replaying it, it was just so beautiful.

My actual Jesus Christ, this is so insanely beautiful. It captures the events in Wanderer's story so well while also correlating with a song that matches him. You really conveyed his despair, agony, and helplessness in his expressions; they were able to show how his life almost seemed like nothing more than a puppet in the hands of fate(ironic) through the subtlest of gestures.
