As he grew up, it leads to him losing his mind and thinking Pippy was brainwashed by the USA, until eventually Pippy shot him in the same way America shot Katipunan. She regrets it, but it had to be done. Explanation: *[Leading to Martial’s trauma.]* "It was formally established with the proclamation of the Malolos Constitution on January 23, 1899 in Malolos, Bulacan, and endured until the capture of Emilio Aguinaldo by the American forces on March 23, 1901 in Palanan, Isabela, which effectively dissolved the First Republic. *The United States eventually destroyed the First Philippine Republic in the Philippine-American War. Afterwards, the Americans exterminated any remaining vestige of the Katipunan."* - America shooting Katipunan and stealing Pip in front of Martial’s eyes. *[Martial being ready to ‘restore everything’.]* "When Marcos signed Proclamation 1081 on September 21, 1972, he cited the communist threat as justification. His diary, meanwhile, said the proclamation of Martial Law became a "necessity". - Martial: "That’s what your ‘father’ hated, _right?"_ (referring to America, mocking his hate for communism and using it as a lie to tell Pip he was on ‘their side’. - Philippines: "You’re being ridiculous..." *[Constantly abusing his power.]* "Through various general orders, Marcos effectively put the entire power of government under the rule of one man: his own.
