Late to watching as we went to our daughter’s and watched the 3yr old and 6 yr old grandsons while she had a bBy brother for them! Suffice to say baby is beautiful and healthy and as much as we love them all,the noise gets to us. Home this evening and enjoying the quiet. Now to catch upon flosstube.

Salem was established in 1626. As in European immigration started in that area then. At that time nothing to do with witches. Thanks for your shows Sherrie. I enjoy your company

You always make me smile. I always look forward to your stories, LOL. Your Salem Sisters is beautiful. I love the fabric you used. I need to start mine. As to the 1626, that is when Salem MA was settled. The first Salem witch trial was in 1692. Hope that helps. When you showed the Halloween costumes, I was thinking toadstools in the moonlight, sorry. Now I see the alien ships :)

"We just all grumble along until we get to Christmas." 😅 Here in the US we do that too. But at Thanksgiving we grumble together with family while we eat too much. But there's still plenty of grumbling.

If you change your mind about knitting your own fingerless gloves Sherrie I'd 100% recommend turtle dove ones. I was gifted some for Christmas last year and they're sooo soft and very cosy ❤️

I love anything Mother of Pearl so years ago bought the same stitch holder and a heart one and packet of individual heart and bells but haven't used them much as my threads slipped out so much so have decided to give them another try. I've also brought out 'Morning Star', - frogged what I'd begun on 31st January as I don't think I'd worked out where it should have fitted on the fabric! - and begun again. After so long in a splint it's a joy to be stitching what I choose again. I've got my ticket for Harrogate on 21st so cross fingers all goes to plan!

I think 1626 was when settlers first founded Salem. 1692 was the witch trials. I got one of the other sets of fat quarters from the Turtle - beautiful fabrics, and so well presented.

We had witch trials down here in Leicestershire, 15 women were accused by a young boy and 9 were executed and 1 died in custody before a senior Judge decided the boys evidence wasn't reliable and the 5 were released 😥 Love your stitching, plans and the "Turtle hath turned up good" 😁 I await a cushion cover update in due course 🙂

Dust motes not mites ! Hope you haven't got any mites. My semi-wild cat came in with a flea this week (sitting on the sofa} - ugh. I got my knitting needles out this week - stockinette stitch. Knitted up a couple of dish cloths knitted with wool from cotton as I was using wet wipes and seemed to be going through a lot of them. There's my ramble. Love your videos. Jelly fish ! If she's still in Australia, the Box Fish Jelly fish are very painful if you get stung and very prevalent over there (like a lot of their wildlife). Have stitched Floral Etchings 1, looking forward to stitching Floral Etchings 2. Your frames are ideal. 1626 - that's the year Salem town was founded.

In 1626, the first known witchcraft accusation in a British North American colony was made against Joan Wright, a midwife in Surry County, Virginia. Wright was a self-professed healer and was described as "cunning", a term for those who practiced folk or low-level magic. She was also left-handed, which was considered suspicious at the time.
