Good points, thank you. I think the next nature question is, how do we get them to make their arm so tight for us? Most people will have an idea and be aware of the arm in that position.

Gripping and twisting the pad of the hand, ripping into the bicep with the blade of the forearm, digging the elbow or chin into the pec minor, applying pressure to the side control, cross facing the head away from the attack with the leg are a few ways. These things are commonly shown with our technique, just not mentioned in this video. But that is a solid point to bring up; most people will read the attack and try to straighten the arm or at least tighten up. In those cases we transition to a Dragon Sleeper (NS choke) or hit a standard double wrist lock or arm crush depending on if i can keep the arm bent or if they straighten it out.
