If you’re going to use the hot water treatment, make sure to use some glove conditioner before, so the water doesn’t soak into the leather. If not done properly, the leather will absorb the water, which leads to cracking, when it dries out. It doesn’t ruin the glove, but just be cautious with it.

Water should never be used. It causes the leather to stretch and break. Aso uses this method for the pros because they don’t care about glove longevity.
