I always advise my customers to take longer in between time for their connecting flights so if anything happens such as delayed touchdown on the first plane, they’ll have plenty of time to catch their breath before going to another flight

When I was young & dumb I scheduled flights a couple of time where as soon as I got off the plane I had to RUN to the next gate. I never missed my next flight but I realized it was all my fault because I made these plans. SO I started making future plans where I would have an hour or 2 layover before my next flight. I found that a MUCH better traveling experience altho I still HATE to fly. I am hoping I will never ever have to fly again. !

One time, we got off a flight in Boston. We had to rush to our gate and when we got there my mom realized “I forgot my purse on the plane!” So we couldn’t go on our flight bc they had to leave. My mom decided to figure out if there’s another flight at customer service and all and redirect our luggage. While doing so, my sister and I headed back to our previous gate and simply asked “did u for me a purse on that plane?” And the lady there was liek.. yup! And handed it to us. So we head back and.. we could t get a flight. We had to wait there for over 10 hours just waiting for our flight. Never want that to happen again.. (also note, this was my second trip where I took a plane.)

Wow... The only time I ever missed a connecting flight wasn't even an inconvenience, as there had been so many people from the first flight (which had been delayed from the start) going to this second flight that they either held up the second flight for us or they procured a new flight for us, I don't remember what happened exactly since it was so long ago. Now that I think about it it sounds crazy, but there were about 100 people so it's not like they could just ignore it.

My flight back to the states from the Caribbean was late arriving in Puerto Rico. Had to go through customs and then bolt to the gate for connecting flight. TSA woman asked, while going through my documents, if I had ever seen Forest Gump. I said yup,..,she then said RUN FOREST, RUN!!! I made the flight,.....instead of missing it and getting a free nights stay in Puerto Rico but missed my final flight in Charlotte, NC. Got a free hotel there. one time i had a quick flight from virginia to washington DC, and then afterwards i would have a flight back home. the short flight was only suppose to take 20 minutes. however due to an issue with the plane, it ended up getting delayed by an hour, meaning i missed my second flight. the next flight home wouldn’t be until hours later. by the time i got home, it was about 1 am and i had spent 13 hours in the airport/on a plane

Its because the transit time is too short and the gate is just too far. The 5th one was at the airport in Thailand 😂 they somehow decided to change the gate in a short time. That is travesty! If they transfer the gate, they should call other gate that the passenger is on the way. She was so close and they closed it. Time is money for everyone. And be mindful to remind people of changing the gate! Most of the time, I just use direct flight. No connecting ones. Sometimes my plane arrived late for connecting flight and we had to run so far to catch another plane. Good thing the flight attendant let them know that there are passengers coming because the plane arrived late. Some passengers are elderly. When they change the gate at the last minute, they call another to wait for us.

By the time my flight landed, I realized my connection flight would be about done boarding. I booked it off the plane, made it to the gate, and they were long gone. Went to the customer desk, back where I'd come from, and they double checked that there would have been no way for me to make it in time. They said, "oh, her flight even left early. From my experience, usually flights with short layover uses the same plane with the next one so passangers with connecting flight don't have to get off the plane. But that's just my experience.
