the sinker is one of the most useful upgrades in my opinion, it makes it super easy to go as deep as you want, and some areas of the map aren't even available if you don't have it

The noctis is a fish that comes out at night and will snap your line like a sizzer but easy to catch

After you catch noctis the next "boss" is a maw you need to get a bulbfish with a huge hook (I think) and then when you catch maw the next boss is the cave shark you need a bombat so when you reach the caves coral rocks spawn and you catch a bombat then you send it back got to it's cave however don't use a huge hook or the cave shark won't eat it

When your lure has finished sinking you can still move your boat. I found this really helpful when your just a little away from the fish you need to catch, it’s also really good for getting anglerfish.

Use the sinker upgrade. It really helps. Especialy if you want the cave shark, To get the cave shark you need a bomb fish as live bait when you get to the point of the cave shark.
