Next level catch and cook. Another beautiful day on the water with some cracking mackerel coming home for lunch. Today we take some fish to an amazing restaurant to get a professional ceviche chef to prepare. Looking forward to doing more of these with friends and chefs.

Very beautiful dishes the chef prepared, like he said fresh fish is key. And you can't get any fresher than that. Epic video Rod showcasing the local chef. I would definitely visit that cantina. Aloha from Kansas

Awesome catches and cook! I learned from my Dad I could bring fish to Chinese restaurants and they'd often would happily cook your catch if you shared your catch or worked out a price. Now when I travel and fish I've done that with different local restaurants who also enjoy fresh fish. Places like the Florida keys have made cook-you-catch a general offering, but, this works in lots of other places or countries. As always, thanks for posting/sharing your adventures with us!

It's funny just like here in Florida, we buy alllll this fancy expensive tackle and lures and it's the plain ol silver spoon that gets it done every time 😂😂😂🤘🤘. That mackerel fishing looks fun as hell!!! Very exciting fast paced fishing!!!

Without sounding like a kill joy, because I love your clips, as a local, showing where you are, just brings the crowds. Many clips of fishing will go out of their way to not show the area where they are fishing. After the morning of the previous clip, the reef was chockas. Similar to showing great waves on the surf report, the place will be packed the next day. Watched a good clip yesterday with some great fishing, all that was said was it was of the tweed coast, never showing any landmarks. Hope this is accepted in the spirit it was meant, but please, remember the locals. Love your work!

Tip for you Rod if you use a hessian sack to put your fish in to keep them cool, as long as you wet the hessian now and then it naturally cools itself down when wet.

Good morning everyone. Just saying hello from Colorado. Rod you are a good man and a person that I would like to hang out with. The fish looked incredible. The meal looked awesome. When I lived in the Virgin Islands I would catch Cerro mackerel and tunny and skipjack tuna in shore and big yellowfin tuna and mahi mahi and wahoo off shore with the occasional king mackerel. It was fun and profitable. I miss it. Now in the mountains southwest of Denver. Now it’s trout. Going for some landlocked salmon this coming weekend. Cheers to all. I had an issue with an old Johnson 15 not starting one night in northern Minnesota. A yowie (Bigfoot) got into the lake and started swimming out to the boat and it wouldn’t start. I was freaking out and it finally started and I had never been so scared in my life. I went back to the cabin the long way so it wouldn’t see where I went. It was huge. It’s head looked like a bucket. It’s eyes were red. My wife dealt with them too.
