I love the consideration that Kyle and you guys have for the animals. There’s a lot of animal-focused KZbin channels but you’ve consistently demonstrated more thoughtfulness and empathy when you approach the animals. You can see it in the way Kyle talks about them and the way he cares for them.

Thanx for another great video!! I love having a channel on here where I am able to consistently see gorgeous crocodilians. That tape, while I love the consideration for the animals, makes me nervous. It dissolves so easily with water that I'm afraid it is going to get damp too soon one of these times and you'll have an upset untaped croc on your hands.

Do you produce crocs or alligators to release in the wild? Especially endangered ones. Or you just breed to keep?
@PrimitivePredators5 жыл бұрын
It depends on the species, most that are produced here end up staying on property or go to select facilities
@stefilooks43705 жыл бұрын
Okay what if some actually start to disappear in the wild would you guys try to introduce them back where they came from? I feel like crocodilians are not like mammals and would be able to survive even if they were fed by humans. Would they be able to survive without human interference?
@WannonCreekWildlife5 жыл бұрын
stefi Looks places like kyles are fantastic as a genetic back up, but the issue with releasing to the wild is most of the critically endangered crocodiles around the world are still facing the threats (such as habitat loss, persecution ect) are still there. Until the threats are resolved and we have protected habitat available releasing them is only a bandaid solution
@stefilooks43705 жыл бұрын
Well then our world sucks. Governments should be already looking for solutions to remove those threats. Protect those lands from invasive species by that I mean humans. Well not enough humans care glad we have guys like these thinking of the future. Thanks for the response clearing it up. When ecosystems start to fail just might be to late.

Does he wrap the tape with the sticky side away from the animal’s skin/scales? I’ve heard they have highly sensitive nerves in their snout. Or does the water soluble tape eliminate that issue?

We aren’t sure yet! This is all figuring it out as we go, nice this is the young ones have so much speed and flexibility releasing them it was so beneficial at this size. We will definitely give it a try with all the precautions taken that it might fail and see how it goes ! Ha
