Barend are you just a fan of honey or is there a reason that you use it. I noticed in your videos that you like to start with it, then when things are a bit quiet with the fish you go back to it, or if you are pressing for a better fish then you do this. I would like to know if there's any explanation that you can share with us, as to the effectiveness of honey as a dip. Thanks

Hi Vibhishan, thank you for the great question! The reason why I use honey is because it is a natural food source that I believe is very nutritious for carp. Bigger fish tends to eat foods that are more nutritious. Since honey has such a soft/sweet taste and smell, it will not affect a carp's appetite. We always say that even in the most challenging sessions, a little bit of honey won't do any harm!

Gents, please if you ever find yourself making a trip to roodeplaat dam or haarties. Please let me know, I'd really like to join the two of, of course maintaining safe protocols during these times, but would be great to fish with you and bounce ideas and tips of each other.
