It's that time of year that we catch the cattle to wean off the calves. A few of the cows aren't too happy. Enjoy. Check out my Instagram// / txfarmguy #cattle #ranchlife #cowsorting

Those pens cost a lot to build but if they are built right the are worth the weight in gold. A big pen like that is awesome. I put about 10 tons of AB 3 in my load out for a ramp. But dirt is a lot cheaper. Good job on working your cattle

The first calf usually isn't very big and they grow kind of slow. The first calf heifers with big calves are going to be dropping some of the best calves next year. We always try and pick out those exceptional heifers and pen them with the best cows because you know they are only getting better each season.

I think it’s interesting how the cattle are so skittish around you , when they know you take care of them feed ..water etc… it must be instinctual

I just subscribe to your channel. I watched a few of your videos before I did and I can say I really like them. they are real, not staged. but you take a lot of risks being on the ground in the pens. I understand you have probably been around these cattle for ages but still. anyway, I like your channel and will continue to watch it as long as you are posting on it. keep up the good work and stay safe out there. be well and give my love to your family.

What bull are you seeing better calves out of on those Braford mommas? Looked like pretty even on Charolois and Angus calves.

Do you have feet trimmed ever? Like your breeding stock? Or do they wear good?
@TheFarmGuy2 жыл бұрын
No, never trimmed unless it’s something extreme.

Try to be a little calmer around the cows. You guys keep they riled and they get crazy with fear. Have you ever heard about causing the adrenal to rush into the meat making it tougher. Please calm down

As I am watching this video of sorting cows from there calves is really bad. The cows and calves are so stressed out, you got to work smart not hard. I like the hard but badly designed
@KatrinaLPate2 жыл бұрын
dud, seems to me that the momma's pretty much know what they are there for and are doing what they are supposed to be doing without much pressure. considering he is on the ground at their level and not on a horse. brave or stupid, he got it done in less time than it would have taken most people. I'm very proud of him and I don't even know him.

Thanks for taking the trouble to taking these video. Very boring.
