It is closed to the public, but they allow a few groups to do tournaments on there occasionally. I’ll hit you up on FB when they do the next one. You just won’t be able to run your outboard cuz it’s usually Kayaks and John boats but they’ll let you in

Definitely an easy lake due to hardly any pressure since it’s private. The fish taste fine, but some people have strong opinions about it being near a decommissioned coal plant. They can’t provide any evidence, just opinions. Careful who you listen to, they’ll tell you do your research when they’ve done none themselves…

I like 20 or 30lb test since I fish heavy cover and don’t like losing jigs. I also use a 10lb fluorocarbon leader
