@@10poundbass1 Thank you!!! The reel is a shimano nasci 1000 and the rod is a custom 7ft medium. The builder is working on a website so he can start selling them but this was a prototype I’ve been testing out 👍

@ if I didn’t have this rod I would get a st croix avid inshore 7ft medium. A lot of people use those down here. If not, my other favorite is the 13 fishing Defy Black 6’7 medium which is what I used to have this reel on and it was awesome!

I’m trying to get into tarpon and snook fishing and i need a versatile rod setup for it. I have a rod for micro tarpon and snook but i need something that can throw a little heavier baits like my 5-8 inch nlbns

@@HamaadSingh-e5f I have a 5000 saragosa for that stuff and I’d say it is perfect. But any 5000 reel from Shimano, Daiwa, or Penn especially will work great. For a rod, my brother has a jigging world Onyx 7’3 that he uses all the time for the 5 inch. But if you want to throw the 8inch too then the 7’6 might be the way to go. Hope this helps

@@HamaadSingh-e5f definitely the heavy if you’re going to be throwing an 8inch and it will be perfect with a 5inch
