Gabe, as a kid I grew up in Marathon, we used a thin coat of Mayo on both sides of the fish, then season as you like, the mayo melts off but holds the flavor, seasoning & juices in.
@thewholetruth54732 жыл бұрын
I have done that since I was a kid too, but I don't use a "thin" coat of mayo and it doesn't melt off. I put on about an eigth to a fourth inch thick coating before cooking. Mayo is awesome on fish, and yeah it is incredibly juicy and flavorful.

I grew up fishing Guana Lake, it’s so cool to see y’all fishing there. My biggest trout out of there was 29 inches! The best bait is live croaker, they attack the trout eggs when they are spawning in Aug/September and the gator trout annihilate them. Speaking of Gators, there are some big boys in there and are typically more aggressive than other gator populations I’ve encountered in the area. Hope to see you out there next time you’re back!
@andy60432 жыл бұрын
I fished Guana in the late 70's before the current dam structure was there. We filled the cooler with rat reds a time or two. I am stuck to fishing on the bank to and from work at the Palm Valley bridge mostly. I have a little Stumpknocker perfect for the back water but it's a bummer fishing by yourself for me. Have boat, will travel, need fishing friends !

@@andy6043 Palm Valley Bridge is always a fun place to fish! Next time, try the lakes on either side of the bridge, they are loaded with reds, black drum and tarpon. I’m free every weekend, let’s do some fishing!

@@ryanbenton2376 I'm in Starke, about 60 miles from there. That's why I fish on the way to jobs sometimes. I'm hoping to have some work in Vilano soon and be able to do something then. I'm not going there in my boat on a weekend, too many Yachts and Crazies out then.

Gabe your videos are getting just as good as your brother Robs. I like watching the different perspectives on the ways that both of you hunt and fish. That was a really nice door mat flounder you thought was moss. I have to go to South Jersey from Pennsylvania to go fishing for flounder. I've actually got me a gigging pole shipped up from Florida and have been using it. Difference is we don't have much of the sandy bottom in the bays. It's more muddy than sandy bottom which makes it more of a challenge to find them. But we have been pretty lucky with the poles. We have been lucky enough to been getting some nice size winter flounder up here this year. I'm getting ready to retire from being a tattoo artist for over 40 years. And I already told Rob I've been looking at places down around both you and Robs area to make a move to for retirement. I love both hunting and fishing and grew up working fishing boats while I was younger. So once I'm retired and settled in down there hopefully I'll be able to get to be friends with you guys. And hopefully get to learn some more stuff from you guys and get to go fishing and hunting with you guys sometime. God bless you Kelly and the boys. Keep them great videos coming brother.
