Yeah invasive to Florida. Huge problem actually and they host competitions to kill them off. Your actually supposed to kill them on site because yhey destructive to diversity on reefs

I've kept pistol shrimp before, and there are pretty entertaining, burrowing around in the sand; the only thing to look out for with them besides the noise would be the decorations falling over as they dig.

Just wondering, I know you know lion fish are invasive so if you were able to revive it were you gonna bring it home? Cuz lion fish either need to be put in a tank or killed, there’s no releasing it into the same body of water like freshwater invasives

You can release a wild one that you found. Goliath Grouper are starting to eat lion fish. But it’s still not recommended👍

I don’t think you should keep these creatures you find. They should be in the wild where they belong, it’s ok to catch them just you have to release them. Who knows, the reef might need these creatures to keep living.

Let’s say every person who watched this decided to do this. That’s a million fish right there. It’s the same reason you can’t take sand with you at some beaches. I just find it ironic he released the lion fish which is an invasive species while taking the native species. Just proves he’s not knowledgeable at all and is just doing it for views.

That lion fish is why you are required in Western Australia to have a release weight in your boat at all times to aid in the safe release of benthic or deep water fish

Guys this isn't okay you can't just go to the beach and take back stuff for your aquarium even if it's the right stuff your literally taking home an animal out of its habitat to put in a small aquarium it's better to go to someone who sells animals like this that have been raised in captivity and I'm pretty sure it's illegal to take stuff like that plus they didn't even know anything about the animals they took so they probably ended up dying to anyone who reads this: don't copy them

This is literally where I go to catch alot of stuff and those pistol shrimp are annoying they snap in your tank randomly and it's loud as heck.. and they will kill of random fish smaller than them .also go across the street and hit the seawall up and down till cato's bridge . I find so much cool stuff . Puffers , angels , tile fish , I've caught cowfish, box fish, trumpet fish , u name it I've caught em there .. thats how I got into the Hobbie when I was growing up I get my own water and sand I called them my fla tanks

Lion fish are super invasive down in Florida, by law you need to either take it home or kill it. They're beautiful animals but sadly lionfish are so invasive that they kill other beautiful animals that are supposed to live there. And with that, lion fish help kill entire coral reefs

They don't, they are called electric flame scallops because there is a membrane behind their main mantle that flashes back and forth to give the illusion of electricity. They are completely harmless, however really hard to keep alive in captivity as they need to be target fed phytoplankton
