Matt, you are a true class guy. I asked Lawson three times over a few months since I found a spot in my community that has Snook, Sheepshead and even small Tarpon. So I was asking what gear does he use since he never talks about his gear when he is fishing from home on his boat or skiff. He’ll talk about the lures and what works, etc. but not once in six years has he said on his channel I’ve been watching what his rod and reel rigs are. Then when I wrote to him on Instagram and asked the same question stating that he never answers or mentions his gear. I got pounded by a dozen a-holes who don’t know me. Ripping me about my tone and how he doesn’t have to explain anything, and so on. I’m 59 and have no patience for childish BS. And in my long winded way, this is a big compliment to you and how you always discuss your gear and even how you were using it when the bite was on. In my opinion, I think all who achieve subscriber success should at least type it in with the description during the editing/upload process. I look at it as my subscriber count, my view of videos count, and my comments if I leave one counts all towards how those who get paid to fish are compensated by KZbin. Which in a weird way makes those like the Googans employees of the viewers since they’d have nothing without their viewers, subscribers, likes, and view counts. If only all fishing channels could be like yours and Tactical Bassin. Except I need to now find someone who fishes brackish water for Snook, etc. ONLY from the bank in Florida where alligators are also very hungry. Best wishes and stay safe bro!

Been watching these big swimbait videos for largies for a couple years now... want to dedicate a season to only throwing big gliders/swimbaits targetting largies but up here where i am our bodys of water have so many pike.. i literally catch pike while fishing the most lmb looking areas all year round, they co exist. Its hard to commit yourself to throw an expensive bait on the right line looking for a big bass bite knowing a tiny pike will smash it out of nowhere and snap you off. At this point i almost only throw big swimbaits w thick flouro leaders targetting pike.

Please can you stop grabbing fish by their mouth . There are numerous studies saying that beyond 3 pounders you are hurting their spin. The ratio of surviving is decreasing a lot 😢 The less you are keeping outside the less they can survive ... Good news : shorter the fight is, the longer bass can survive ! Sorry for my english 😁 I am just A french fisherman 😉
@bridgelaurie94904 жыл бұрын
Fab Mel it’s good you are concerned and self aware of stuff like this but you can lip them up to a pretty high weight before you risk injury ESPECIALLY if you lip them correctly and don’t risk injuring their jaws. People have been doing this for decades probably centuries.
