I have seen the under spin out fish live bait for halibut. This season I saw guy boat 4 quality halibut using the under spin. I have never seen this in my 30 years of fishing san Francisco.

How’s that Majorcraft Jigpara treating you? And how do you work them in deeper water?

I like them so far. I’m using the 40g and 60g in San Diego Bay. Pretty much a yo-yo technique. Grind it off the bottom, half way up, free spool back to the bottom. These types of jigs have specific contours that create action on the fall

How do you fish the slug? I have caught fish using the slug dropping down onto structure but do you ever cast and retrieve it or how do you fish it?

Doing a lot of jetty fishing do you think the 3/8-1/2 is a good head size I’ll be in Long Beach or marina del Rey

From the jetty, 3/8oz and 1/2oz are great sizes. If the jetty is deep, with not many rocks around, 3/4oz is a great size. Remember this, "rod tip up" when bringing the bait near the rocks on the retrieve in. This will help prevent snags. Good luck!

Great videos. What underspin and slug combination to you recommend for pier fishing? Would drop Shot be better? I love the Underspin too. So good. I use Pro Cure, Hot Sauce or Uni Butter. Each has it's advantages. Pro Cure is a bit sticky. Hot Sauce is slick. Combine the two for the ultimate scent.

I like the Lowrance units. They weren’t extremely expensive for a color screen. I use then Hook 5. I found them very user friendly, easy to use
