I am so disappointed with contemporary TV. For example, "America's Funniest Home Videos" is an hour of broadcast time. Never watch it when it is broadcast, record it. Skip 20+ minutes of advertisements, another 10-15 minutes of the "host" talking about the actual content. Actual watch time? 20-30 minutes, and the networks want me to give them an hour of my time. KZbin may sometimes have a lot of advertisements, but it still beats the heck out of network TV for content density.

As an alternative to pesticide laden spray foam, regular high expansion foam with steel wool pads pressed in works great. They don't like to chew through the metal. Fill the hole 1/2 way with foam, stick in some heavy steel wool and top off with more foam.

The rats went somewhere else, because it was too much work to get through all that. They have never been back!

Genuinely love the direction your channel took, crazy to think how far you've gotten from showing primitive trapping methods in the wild and filming yourself. These feels like a studio production that could be on TV. Well done brother great to see you grow.

You're the real pro Sean. A very effective method I found on smart buggers is to set the traps but render them ineffective for around three days by putting something under the trigger, remove the batteries or co2 cartridges or whatever but have them baited. Once the bait is consistently disappearing and the trap just becomes a food receptical set them. I also p"ut them in areas the rats don't always use. They smell the bait from long distances and will always find it. That way their suspicions upon finding a new item in their pathways they are so familiar with don't kick in. Love, love, love seeing you with the merch on. Love knowing you're making an excellent production. As my kids would agree, "Two thumbs up Daddy"

What species of rat did you capture the most throughout your rat catching history?

My guess would be the Norwegian or brown rat simply because it's the most numerous across the globe. I know he's caught a few pack rats and Nutria but I think of the videos mostly show brown rats.

love the thumbnail. when spray foaming a hole its always a good idea to reinforces the foam with steal wool. That way they have to the time to chew through it and they will most likely move on instead. This trick also works will with sparrows and mice.

Hi Shawn, Love Your Web-Site! I have Two GREAT Mousers in the guise of My "Pawblo" whom I have had since he was small enough to fit in my palm and My other feller whom I adopted as a stray during a -50F "cool" snap last year. As he was already named "Todd" and was being "Re" homed, I figured I needed to "Re" name him, so he is now known as "Re"- Todd... Every time one of your videos comes on, No matter what he is doing or where in the house he is, Re-Todd will come FLYING into the Media Room and will remain Glued to the TeeVee as long as Your videos are playing. I Need to Thank You for making his transition from being an almost feral outdoor Alaska cat living a rough life to a Vidjya Junky Binge Watcher living in a warm indoors environment an Easy? One.

The best way to seal rat hole and preventing them from chewing it again was discovered by my grandad. He added large chunks of shattered glass in the cement and sealed a holes with this mixture. After that there was no more rat holes in house
