Nice! We use almost the exact same rig to commercial fish for Atlantic King Mackerel here in Florida. Our Kingfish. Very similar to these in the Indian Ocean

For a lot of people who don’t know, this is called hand casting and most of the world outside western countries hand cast , I grew up hand casting and didn’t use my first rod until 18.

That is very cool! I watch this and I thought somebody was going to immediately start complaining how he hooked a fish also and it's still alive. But I would imagine this fish likes to eat it's fish alive and kicking and I don't think maybe he could even catch this type of fish if the fish is dead right? Maybe you could was like you know how we do it in America but that's just genius we use lures with hooks and I'm like that he just puts hooks in the fish hooks to fish and that just fishes with the fish it's genius it just makes perfect sense I guess.

For any who is wondering this is southern part of India probably Tamil Nadu coastal line ( bay of Bengal ) and there using katmaram with diesel engine ( that's y it's making so much noise & splash on surface which actually helps lure predatorial fish ) and these fishes or sold directly in shores to consumers or some time to local venders there so fresh when fishes reach out to our kitchens

In the Atlantic it is called King Fish, in Indian Ocean and west Pacific it is called King Mackerel. It is the biggest Mackarel and rounder. Spanish mackerel is smaller, flatter and have different pattern. Wahoo looks the same as as King fish but different pattern and elongated dorsal fin and only lives in the Pacific.

Thats a indo/pacific spanish mackerel/ narrow barred mackerel not a kingfish/king mackerel. They look very similar but are actually different species.

I was told this is called hand lining not hand casting. Also it's a good idea to have a coffee can you can use to wrap your line around. And when you're not fishing you could put the hook, sinker and float inside the can.
