Braided is just fine it sometimes comes to preference too! my go to is braided but I do have some reels with fluoro on! again it’s mostly preference hope that helps

Braid is easy for the fish to see. I’d do a green color fluorocarbon and the strongest knot for fluorocarbon (tested and proven) is the Double San Diego Jam Knot.
