Thanks dude! Welcome to the fam 🤙 I have two more videos coming up from this trip. Owens was pretty blown out, upper elevation lakes were going off, and we got lucky with some of the sand traps at the end. Good luck out there!

@@WildCaughtOutdoors My loose plan is to hit Convict, then staying a few days at Browns campground so will explore the upper Owens area. Then up to Big Pine Lakes for some backpacking, hoping to bring a rod for a North fork day hike the next day. Then finishing at Diaz lake. Honestly never much of a fisherman until last year - popped my cherry landing 5 fat rainbows at Browns I was "hooked" for life. All because two little local kids saw me struggling and took me under their wing and showed me the ropes. Thinking back about eating those suckers out at Alabama Hills...brings a tear to my eye lol

@@keenanmoi convict was decent for us but people were scoring around us (the next video up is at convict). We absolutely scored at George’s sand trap but it had just been stoked. Check the DFG stock list before you go and that’ll help you get some fish! Should totally eat them at Alabama hills, favorite place in the world

@@WildCaughtOutdoors I just got back from my trip. Caught an 18" rainbow at convict on 07/01, was straight out of a dream!

When did you guys go? I saw the same thing at the local sand traps and had to go further North to some other spots to land decent rainbows they stocked

This was earlier this month, we ended up fishing convict lake (part 2!) and then absolutely scored locally (part 3!) to finish off the trip

You guys actually made a very good video. Incorporated some good capturing techniques, great scenery, good B roll, comfortable personalities, all good. Keep it up, you’ll go far.

Dude, thank you so much! I'm actually in the process of going to film school, it's really nice to see that the time spent in production is being noticed!!! Can't wait to share all the new videos currently in the pipeline. Appreciate the comment!

I have never had Softshell Crawfish , I'm used to the hard shells and we just eat tail and suck the head , I am really interested in those calcium deposits (from a rock stand point ) ... I got to try some soft shells because I love hard shells and you made them look good

Same here! This was completely unexpected, I really didn’t know what they would taste like and it’s now top 5 favorite seafood for me. The deposits are super cool, reminds me of the otoliths we get from white Seabass

What kind of net was used?
@WildCaughtOutdoors Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, it was a foldable net that I grabbed from a local tackleshop. Worked well until we bent it!

Anywhere along the Owens River and any ponds near the Owens will have them in the summer months
