CATCHING SPOTTED GRUNTER ON DRIFT BAIT - ALL MY SECRET TIPS

All my SECRET TIPS and TRICKS on catching SPOTTED GRUNTER in one video.
This was an amazing outing with a quick kayak trip catching grunters on the drift with pink prawns.
I had 2 hours to fish for grunter before I had to be back in George so I made the best of the small window of decent weather.

Im From JHB but my mother lives in Kleinbrak, so her neighbor took me to that exact location just to show me a good fishing spot . Unfortunately i had a flight back to JHB 2 hours after that . Hi, do you have any advice when fishing at knysna? We always struggle to catch something from the beach there. Usually we go to buffels or brenton on sea. Are there any other spots worth visiting?

That gear is very light. You should see a proper grunter in deeper water on that tackle. That fish was landed in 40cm of water.

Why don't you just use a 7ft rod with a small spinning reel to flick your prawns out. This tackle is majorly overkill for this type of fishing. Generally you will pickup more fish with lighter tackle and a small spinning setup with 10pound braid will flick a prawn 15 meters with ease. More tine spent in the bight zone and less time for peckers to eat the prawn as you don't have to shed so much line to get into that zone away from the kayak.

That is the perfect setup. I fully agree. But I don's have any more space for rods and reels. I already own 36 of them and i love this setup when you are fishing Witsand in strong currents for Kob and Grunter
