But this channel isn't about astronomy. l'll be tapping into my 20-year career as a fashion journalist to cover fashion as a source of self-expression and body positivity. We'll have a little bit of fun in shows like Fashion Fortnightly. I'll be connecting with fashionable creatures in Meet the Muse and reviewing fun, new products in the short FIR - First Impression Review. I loved the comedic role of Fawad in Akbari & Azghari, he doesn’t fail to impress me by his talent! In Khubsoorat he really looked princely, with the charm and suave mannerisms, very believable in Kapoor & sons, totally great in ae Dil mushkil, pity both his and Imran Abbas’s role in that film was cut due to the Indian ban on Pakistani actors! Sanam Baloach is my all time favourite too!

Firstly, Aamna, everything your wore including the stunning outfit you had on while interviewing Fawad khan was on point, and your hair looked fabulous! In fact I suspect you looked considerably younger ( maybe it’s that swoon Fawad effect!🤣🤣🤣)!! Meanwhile this English lass ( moi); who was thankfully introduced to Fawad Khan via Netflix ZGH, and Hum Safar found myself skipping many heartbeats seeing Fawad, looking as gorgeous as ever! I simply can’t wait for the interview, and Amna a big thank you! I’ve literally watched all Fawad’s dramas, and even taught myself Urdu, because Netflix stopped screening subtitled Pakistani dramas, and thus I watch them on You tube! Fawad has a real suave gentlemanly sophisticated presence,yet he can be very funny too! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌹👍🏽🥰

i really am pleasantly surprised that an english person likes to watch pakistani dramas! if you dont mind me asking can you tell me how did you get into watching them and what you like about them the most. i for one think that our dramas are still very regressive to appeal to international audiences.

@@philosopher_stone6885 hi, it’s more that I lived amongst Indian and Pakistani neighbours and had great school friends from both communities,and I was always at their homes for say Diwali, or learning about Ramadan, ( I even kept a few fast during Ramadan!). Sometimes we’d go to watch Bollywood movies, so I was already watching them with interest, as it was out of curiosity to learn about other cultures, although I know it doesn’t necessarily reflect the real lives of Indians! Then my good Pakistani friend who. I was at Med school with me, told me to watch x 3 Pakistani dramas on Netflix m HUMsafar, ZGH, and Sadquay Tumhare! What can I say I got hooked by Fawad Khans acting ( and looks😉); so I attempted to watch all his older dramas, ( Dastan caught my eye);with much help from my friend in translation! Slowly I, taught myself Urdu,but I can’t read, and often many comments here are in ‘Roman Urdu’ which I can follow! Let’s just say I’m now ‘adopted’ by my Pakistani friends as an honorary Pakistani! [ I can cook a mean biriyani too!!!) Many dramas are regressive I get that, but it enables me to understand some of the cultural practices, as at one stage my medical practice was in the predominantly SE Asian area, and I think it helped me understand the communities better! For example I didn’t know women could ask for a Khula, as I always incorrectly understood that it’s the men who gave women divorce, in your culture! so it was a relief that some of my patients facing trauma, through abuse could then get a Khula! I’m still not happy with cousin marriages, as we see many genetic problems with such marriages, and it’s unfair on the child, but the burden for the full time care falls upon the mother,who then has no real,life! I tend to watch dramas like Alif,and pyar ke Sadquay, and also those which might touch on social issues, like I loved Udaari! I think I was raised to speak a few languages, as a child, so I found Urdu very soothing to my ears, as opposed to say German, or Gujarati! Oh and BTW I’m now reading much on Islam, because I know how we in the west have demonised your faith!

@@gerryburntwood9617 I also love learning about cultures and traditions of other countries, I am glad you like pakistani dramas so and also udaari was my first pak drama before that I wasn't too interested in them but that one was a masterpiece especially all the songs in it. My favorite was the song in the last episode "bol ke lab Azad hai teray" which literally translates to "speak, for your lips are free" which is an actual urdu poem by one of the most respected urdu poet faiz Ahmed faiz and personally also my favorite since then I haven't watched much but still a lot like sinf e ahan, ehd e wafa, parizaad,jo bichar gaye, chupke chupke, chaudhary and sons among others though the last two dramas I mentioned promote cousin marriages and I agree it's a bit problematic, cause I am also a child born out of a cousin marriage me and my sisters are all healthy with no rare diseases the family drama is too much to handle and has been the cause of my crippling mental health but these dramas put everything in a fun way and the leads have cute chemistry so they are worth a watch and if you liked udaari you will love akhir Kab tak it touches on the subject of sexual harrasment but in a different way while questioning how girls in our society are treated in a certain way, the best part about the drama were the male leads I swear I haven't seen such good male leads In a while. I am happy to to know that you are studying our religion too many people judge us before even knowing what and how we are and taking things out of context and using them against us and I am delighted to know about your affection for urdu I very much love my national language and the poetry in this language is so good and sweet apart from this language I also like sanskrit , arabic and Punjabi and english. All very sweet languages.
